I bought this shelf to use for toy storage in our playroom. It was very easy to assemble. It took about 15 minutes for me to do it alone, you will need a philips screwdriver and a hammer. I was looking for a small shelf that would be wide and deep enough to hold board games. This shelf is perfect. The space between the shelves is about 6 inches apart, which is tall enough to hold multiple games per shelf. However, if you are planning on using this for shoes be warned that you probably will not be able to store boots or high heels as they would exceed the height clearance. I found this product [...] at my local target so I would say it was a good buy for the money, just don't expect anything special. I bought this for shoes. In the store, the box shows 3-4 pairs of shoes across on every shelf, so I thought it would be perfect. As it turns out, most of my heels don't fit in here... it is just a TINY bit too short for them. I'm thinking about removing one of the shelves so I have space for my taller shoes, but I might just return this if I can't figure out a way to put all my shoes in there. Too bad, it looked like a great idea. BUT if you only have shorter shoes, I would highly recommend this because it was easy to put together and decent quality for the price. see less
