Lex Shocked and amazed!!! - I bought these because I wanted a change from my usual seventh generation pods and I can’t believe that these actually work so much better!! I’ve used these twice so far and they leave the dishes absolutely spotless and so shiny and vibrant. They removed cinnamon stains that I’ve had on a few plastic bowls that the seventh generation pods never could. I’m so impressed with these and will definitely be buying these from now on. Way to go target!!!

@the.homechemist Dish soap and dishwasher pods: It is hard to find less toxic options for dish soap and dishwasher pods. The main chemicals of concern found in both products are SLS/SLES, dyes, methylsothiazolinone and benzisothiazolinone. Some more background on dyes. They are similar to fragrance as it can cover a whole range of chemicals and some of those chemical dyes are known carcinogens and endocrine disruptors. If it is bright blue, green, purple, etc. look for another option. Methylsothiazolinone and benzisothiazolinone are preservatives commonly found is dish detergents and laundry detergents. They are known skin irritants and are banned or restricted in Japan, the EU and Canada. These two chemicals are also commonly found in shampoo, conditioners, body wash hand soap and laundry detergent. I would recommend Ever Spring and Puracy dishwasher pods. As for dish soap, most commercial products have methylsothiazolinone and benzisothiazolinone. I would recommend using pure castile soap from Dr. Bronner's.
