Q: Why does the front of the box say 20g of protein then the nutrition label on the back says 14g per serving? What happened to the other 6g? This makes me question this brand and the ingredients
submitted by concerned - 1 month ago
A: Thank you for reaching out. The front calls out *per 3.5 oz serving. It is 14g of protein per 2 oz serving and 20g of protein for a 3.5 oz serving. Both serving sizes should be noted on the back of the box.

Greenwashing?

I am a health guru and know the positive aspects of pulses like chickpeas on sustainability in general (lower CO2 Emissions, nitrogen fixing etc), but how do I know that this chickpea pasta actually has 50% more protein, 3x more fibre, etc since I see no proof to support this in the form of a LCA or any other report. Do people just take their word for it or are we still being greenwashed in 2024?

Cooked correctly and let sit for a bit to the right tenderness. Stored in to heat pan with favorite sauce. No more itching, bloating, eczema, psoriasis allergy reactions. No more need to take drugs, steroids, creams or benadryl. Thank you BANZA. Where have you been all my life.

I found this brand when the store was out of every other one and glad I did. I do not like the other ones, rice based mostly because they just turn into mush. This brand of all the ones I have tried holds it shape as the gluten versions. Only issue with others I wanted to purchase is that I would never need 12 boxes of anything and that is the only way they can be purchased. No idea why they don't offer spaghetti, angel hair in boxes of 6 as the others. Sadly I usually have to purchase them here online since neither store rarely have them.

Based on the other reviews I guess the flavor is just not for me. Calorie to protein ratio is alright though and if you cook it for less time it won't get mushy. Maybe in the right dish I could mask the taste but yeesh I could hardly finish my meal.
Good but falls apart

Taste is okay. 7/10 but the texture falls apart so easily. Not that much different nutrition wise if you’re counting calories and protein VS original pasta. A good vegetarian option.

Everything about this product was bad. The smell in the box. The mushy noodles. The taste. The bloating and farting. One and done. Wanted to love for the celiac in the family. So gross. Nothing like pasta. And expensive.
Looks like pasta

Has the texture and look of traditional boxed pasta, but not the taste or satisfaction. The kids and I did not like it. I know it’s healthier than traditional boxed pasta, just wished it tasted like it.
Tasty, less guilty pasta now with less plastic!

The chickpea rotini is so tasty and I love that I can feel better about eating it with its higher fiber content than standard pasta. Also was absolutely *delighted* to learn today that the bulk packages no longer use individual plastic bags inside the main box!

Great choice for gluten free. It tastes great and has a pretty typical texture, very similar to wheat pasta. I would say it's more filling than wheat pasta but it also has a good amount of protein in it.

My doctor told me to go gluten free, so I’m slowly but surely trying new things. I picked this up from the store earlier today and ended up making it as soon as I got home. It doesn’t look great when cooking it because of the foam, but once you rinse it off, it looks just fine. The taste is way better than what I was expecting! I will definitely keep buying this.

These noodles fall apart when being cooked. I even tried decreasing the cooking time, and they begin breaking apart before they’re done cooking! How does that make sense? I’ll stick to regular pasta from now on.
Must try!

Love this pasta! It does have a different taste which is understandable since it’s made with chickpeas. It doesn’t need to be cooked as long as regular pasta. If you over cook it, it will become mushy. This is my go to for some extra protein. Goes really will with chicken Alfredo.
