Usage Directions: Before use, wash water bottle in top rack of dishwasher or by hand with warm soapy water. Water Bottle filters dont require soaking. Rinse filter under running water for 15 seconds. Place new filter into housing and press down firmly until filter is flush with straw. Align lid and straw in unlocked position, then rotate straw to lock. Replace water filter every 2 months or 40 gallons. When replacing the filter, look for item number 60258 35818, the black Brita Bottle Replacement Filters. Fill your bottle with tap water and enjoy. Substances reduced may not be in all users water.

I decided to purchase the insulated brita bottle for a little more money and it is 10x better than the plastic version. Spent a bit more but was 100% worth it.
Black Mold in Straw Section Uncleanable

I thought this filtered bottle was a good idea until after 6 monthswe noticed the interior of the lid and straw began growing black mold. Wr had purchased additional water filters hoping this would fix the black mold problem, but no. We used spray bleach and it worked at first. Then it stopped. I looked up home remedies to get rid of this black mold but nothing works. At this point they are useless to us and I have all these extra filters.

Loved it until I noticed horrible mold in the mouthpiece. It was disgusting and I dont know how long I had been drinking from it. Was able to clean it up and soaked it. Its great otherwise for travel. A little heavy but worth it for safe water. Once you get to used to the mouthpeice it works. Please sell replacements for the mouthpiece. Would recommend but pay attention to mold growth in mouthpiece.

I love this bottle and use it all the time but over the past 4 years the latch to secure the lid has broken twice. When enquiring about purchasing a replacement lid, Brita customer support sent me a new bottle. This was very nice of them but I'd be fine with buying just the piece I need (and I need again). I don't love accumulating bottles I don't need to replace a lid. The stainless bottle is in great shape and houses all my favorite stickers. I hope Brita both considers the design of the lid for improvement and selling replacement parts.

Whilst I have been very happy with this bottle, having purchased 3 of these now for myself (work, home etc.), the clasp that keeps the lid has broken from just normal use, making the bottle redundant. This is very disappointing given the cost of this bottle, and the perceived quality of the bottle. To make it even worse, I've been informed that there isn't a replacement part for this.

I am on my second Brita stainless bottle. The first lid broke at the clasp in front and I was sent a new one. The one lasted maybe a year or so and now the back of the lid broke at the hinges. Plus the mouthpiece turned black from what I read is from the carbon. Either way for the price I feel these products should last longer.

I’ve had my bottle for about two years. My problem is the black in the straw. I’ve taken it apart & tried to clean it but it doesn’t work. I’ve soaked it & used bottle brushes on it but doesn’t help. Perhaps you can suggest a more effective way to clean it. Thank you.

I bought this water bottle awhile back but am just using it for the first time. The water is extremely hard to get out. Water spills all over me through the little hole in the top of the lid. It is not functional.

This water bottle was easy to clean/begin using with the filter. My apartment’s filter on our fridge water wasn’t the best and the water had a weird taste to it. I knew I needed to get some kind of filtered source but a huge brita wouldn’t have been great with how much space I had. This was the perfect solution. I will say that it’s difficult at first to start using the straw just because it’s so thick and the filter hole is so small it’s hard to drink from but it gets easier! Worth it for clean water for sure.

I’ve had this bottle for 4 years now and it’s gone with me everywhere every single day. I haven’t ever found another bottle as simple and elegant that also has a filter in the straw. Mine is scratched, dented, and covered in stickers — but still never leaks.

It's impossible to fully clean the mouth piece since the it doesn't pop out of the lid. After 6 months, it's got a pink rim that won't soak or wash out.

First, unscrew the bottle cap. Remove the straw from the bottle cap. Then, with both hands, push the mouthpiece tube which may require a little force. I bought it a couple of months ago and it turned out very well for me, the problem is that my daughters bite the part where they drink the water and there are no replacements, nor are there replacements for the straw since it stains black very easily due to the use of the straw. filter
