CeraVe hydrating sunscreen lotion is allergy tested, paraben-free, fragrance-free, oil-free, oxybenzone-free, octinoxate-free, non-comedogenic and suitable for sensitive skin.

How to Use:

Application Tips:
Mineral-based UV filters form a protective barrier to help reflect UV rays away from the skin’s surface. Because the ingredients in a mineral sunscreen stay on the surface of the skin to help protect it, a white cast can sometimes remain after applying the product. Follow these tips to apply your mineral sunscreen:

Dispense a small amount to one palm and rub your hands together
Apply to one area of the body at a time and thoroughly massage into the skin
The formula should spread easily without leaving a greasy residue or feel
All sunscreens should be applied liberally for sun protection. It is essential to use any sunscreen product as directed.

Sun Protection Measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including:

basically a BB cream that doesnt stain your clothes

yes it leaves a white cast but if you have light to light-ish skin you might like this as much as i do. at first i looked like MJ but with a little creativity i easily solved that problem by 1. apply it in thin layers and 2. using it as an SPF 50 cc cream (i'm a boyish guy, dont wear make up, so i might not know what im talking about). it's perfect as a base layer because it's completely dry (not just dry feeling, but actually dry) immediately as you begin spread it; as a result it helps soak up an oily face. I like to use this sunscreen as a base layer and then put another more greasy feeling sunscreen on top of it after it dries. the result is a very even skin tone without looking fake and tbh this combined with another sunscreen is basically my straight dude version of makeup and my girlfriend is kinda jealous. for reference im almost 40, get mistaken for a 20-something constantly (young people deserve to be treated with more respect in my opinion). sunscreen is basically my open secret.

Leaves a terrible white cast on your skin

I wish I had read the reviews on this sunscreen before purchasing. This left the worst white cast on my skin. Despite trying to rub it in for ages, it simply did not disappear and I ended up looking like a ghost. I will say - it did its job in preventing sunburn and it lasted all day, so that's a positive. But I would not purchase this again because it felt so heavy on the skin and it made me look tragically pale. I had high hopes because I love CeraVe products, but this is a big miss.

White film does not diminish and gets on EVERYTHING

This sunscreen was a frustrating disappointment. I use several CeraVe products daily, and thought this sunscreen might be a good addition, but after one use, it is going in the trash. I applied a sensible amount to my face and arms. After 3 hours, the white coating on my skin had not subsided. While I did not care much about how it looked, I cared a lot about the cleanup it necessitated. It left a slimy white film on everything that my arms even lightly came in contact with: my clothing, clothing of toddlers, car interior, and furniture. What a mess and waste of money. I do not recommend this product.

Perfect Formular

This formular is just perfect for my skin type. It's not greasy not heavy and does not leave my face look white like others have complained about, I have fair skin and this is just perfect for what I've been looking for. I have Rosacea and acne prone sensitive skin, other brands and types of sunblock make my face look shinny and oily not only that I have bangs and so it makes it oily looking also.

Great sun protection but poor execution.

Okay, so here’s the deal: this sunscreen is a great sun protectant, HOWEVER, I have several major issues with it. The white cast it leaves on my face is intense. I tried to blend it in and absorb it, but it just wouldn’t. I went to the ocean, so I didn’t really care that jellyfish and strangers might see my face coated in unabsorbed sunscreen—I just rolled with it. That said, this is not a sunscreen to wear daily under makeup. The texture is greasy, it pills, and when I washed it off later, it came out in clumps. On the bright side, my face didn’t get sunburned at the ocean. Did it irritate my skin? Maybe a little. Was it easy to remove? Not at all. So if you don’t mind looking like Casper the Friendly ghost after you use this sunscreen, go for it.

Using this product have me looking like Casper the friendly ghost. My face is tinted blue when I'm done. It's ridiculous, super upset I spent my money on this!!!!

Because this is a 100% mineral sunscreen, the physical filters can sometimes leave a cast. A helpful tip is to apply a small amount in the palm of your hands, rub them together, and then apply to one area of the face at a time, ensuring it is thoroughly massaged into the skin. A really good sunscreen it’s not really oily. It’s comfortable to put on it. It’s easy to put on. It’s easy to rub in all over. It’s a pretty really good sunscreen.
