I’ve recently discovered I’m allergic to dairy, gluten and soy. I’ve had to resort to dairy free cheese. I’ve been pretty pleased with Diaya so far until today. This was the most disgusting cheese I’ve tasted. As soon as I put it in my mouth I spit it out. Tasted like an unflavored wax.

The flavor is disgusting, and it leaves a greasy film when touched. Can’t even imagine what it does to your insides. Yuck. Definitely give violife cheese a try. Its my favorite!

Has a good flavor but like with most store-bought vegan cheese, the texture is just too slimey and gooey when melted. Makes it hard to stomach. Only shredded cheese I haven't found done this is Follow Your Heart finely shredded cheddar, but that stuff is hard to find.

So, the first time I got this I didn’t really like it. I didn’t think it tasted like cheddar, and I definitely couldn’t eat it without melting it. I still wouldn’t eat it without melting it, the texture is just wrong that way, but the second time I bought this I actually loved it. It’s gooey and m stretchy like real cheese, tastes closer to cheddar than I remember, and I love that it’s not dairy. As someone who is a foodie and loves dairy, this does fill a void while I’m trying to eat less dairy overall. I’ve melted it on a tortilla to make a wrap, put it in herbed brown rice, and put it in an omelette. I’ve enjoyed it each time! I think it was just an adjustment for me the first time

Absolutely disgusting. Unless I somehow got a bad batch, I checked the expiration and it was not expired but it was horrible. It tasted sour, it smelled horrible when opening the bag. I know it’s not real cheese but it doesn’t taste the slightest like cheddar. I put this on my tacos and had to throw out the parts where I couldn’t get the cheese off. I couldn’t stomach it. So horrible. I’m truly not sure how the reviews are even decent on this.

I made a quesadilla with this and it was gooey and stretchy which is all I could ask for. I recommend the cheddar mozzarella blend if you can find it. It gets oily when melted and it’s kinda hard when cold but it does the trick as a pretty good replica. Other vegan cheeses I’ve tried stay sort of dry and don’t melt in the oven but this spreads a bit. Chickpeas hurt my stomach so I try not to use too much of this just in case and I haven’t had any issues so far. Wish it was cheaper. Gonna try a Daiya cheese pizza soon.

This is my favorite dairy free cheese brand due to the way it melts. It melts very well and actually stretchea like real cheese. I like the taste better than other brands I’ve tried but it obviously does not taste like real cheese. When this goes on sale, I get about 3 bags just because it is pricey. If you want to try this, don’t expect it to have an identical taste to real cheese but do expect to be impressed by it’s meltability.

Doesn’t taste close to cheese at all, it doesn’t taste like much. Maybe a salty savory flavor if I had to describe. I agree with the reviews about it being oily. But it’s not a big deal for me because I know oil is what helps vegan cheeses melt.

This used to be my favorite vegan cheese, but the new formula hurts my stomach. However, my parents (who eat dairy) really liked the bag they finished so it wouldn’t waste. Pro tip: if it’s oily or tastes like plastic it was NOT stored properly. It was likely frozen for too long or kept too cold and lost flavor/took on the taste of the storage bag. Been there, done that returned a couple bags once.

This Vegan cheese Isn't bad, It's just not the best. It's close to american cheese than to real cheddar. It has a stronger imitation cheese smell than it does taste, it has minimal flavor. I don't feed my family american cheese period, I never ate it either when I was able to digest dairy. Obviously the ingredients aren't gonna mimic REAL CHEESE, we non dairy people who want non dairy equals but it should be understood that it won't be even close to the real thing because it's made from different stuff. It does melt like American cheese as well, (don't try eating this stuff unless it's melted, it's very weird). So I say if you like American cheese it's worth a shot!
