DampRid Drop-in Tab Refill Pack contains two 15.8 oz. moisture absorber tabs. When paired with the Drop-In Starter Kit, they attract and trap excess moisture and eliminate musty odors. Two 15.8 oz. single-use refill tabs provide optimal convenience with no mess. To use, simply insert an unwrapped tab into the top of the moisture absorbing container. Each tab lasts up to 60 days depending on temperature and humidity. DampRid absorbs moisture without use of electricity or batteries. Q: are batteries required? what is the fragrance, natural or perfumy?

A: No, the product does not use batteries. The fan-like openings pull excess moisture from all angles into the container. The pre-measured tablet absorbs the moisture and gradually dissolves it into a liquid and begins to drip into the bottom of the container. When the liquid fills the bottom of the container or the tab has dissolved, empty the liquid and pour down the toilet. Rinse any residue and refill with new tab.It comes with one Fresh Scent tablet. Refill tablets are availble in Fragrance Free, product number FG97FF. Product and functionality of it is great, but the smell… 🤢 The “fresh” scent reminds me of the smell of bile. Nothing like smelling that every time I walk into my bathroom. So gross. I will be getting the unscented version from now on.

Like a handful of reviews - the smell on these tablets is atrocious- I wish target sold the unscented tablets because it’s a genuinely unpleasant experience with the scent. The product itself works fine for pulling moisture - it’s just an anhydrous salt with a collection tray, nothing too special , so no surprises with it working.

The perfume smell reminds me of floral scented bug killing spray (horrible invention).. the strength of the scent is so pungent, like being trapped in a small unventilated room where someone just went through a full can of bugspray lol. The headache I got within an hour of opening was brutal, similar to headaches I’ve gotten after spraying pesticides outside, go figure?.. stuck the whole system in a freezer bag, left it outside till I took it back for a refund.. I’d rather have a closet filled with black mold then to have to smell this ever again, pretty sure mold is less toxic too..

So I bought the drop in container. I got one free tablet inside the box. It was great my closet doesn’t smell the damp anymore. And I got this pack for 2. They’re big size than the one that comes free with the container, which is good. But few days using it, the tablets just broke inside the container, leaving a lot of residue, so I have to clean the container. I think that 2 tablets should be make it 3 smaller ones.
