Deep Impact

This special-effects-filled disaster epic stars Téa Leoni as a TV reporter who uncovers the suppressed news that a newly discovered comet is on a collision course with Earth. With time running out, a NASA team led by a veteran astronaut (Robert Duvall) is sent to try and destroy the comet, while a lottery is held to pick the million Americans to be housed in specially built caves to survive the coming catastrophe.
