I was looking for an organic bug spray to keep the mosquitoes away. This is NOT the product! It does absolutely nothing at keeping bugs away. It is very greasy/oily I feel gross and smell like a citronella candle after applying it.

This is really greasy. It coats the skin and gets everywhere. I would recommend it not be used if you’re wearing sandals or slides or will be near water because that may be hazardous to your health.

I bought this brand because my go-to was sold out...I have over one half dozen mosquito bites on my legs, arms & neck. And? I am travelling across the Charles River to Boston to buy the other lemon eucalyptus repellent brand, because it works!

It is fairly oily. Also the base of the formulation is soyabean oil. In a few minutes, you have the aromatic oils leave and get a strong smell of just soyabean oil. I still saw some mosquitos hovering over my legs but they just did not land...so it works! Perhaps mineral oil or something non-smelly base would work better?

The essential oils in this spray can cause burns when applied to the skin and then exposed to the sun. Your best bet is to use a citronella clip on to keep mosquitoes away if you don’t want to use chemical sprays. Do not use this on your skin and then be out in the sun!

Was looking for a natural insect repellent to use while gardening. Firstly, the spray is a pump with little to no control. Contact with the skin burns a LOT. And the residue is so oily that it stained my clothing. A complete disappointment.

The bottle online and the bottle I bought have different ingredients. There’s no peppermint or rosemary, and it’s full of sulfates which isn’t advertised!! I’m extremely disappointed.

This is the second year in a row that I have used this for my children at preschool! We aren’t allowed aerosols or DEET, so I needed something that fit these guidelines but was also effective. Both of my children and I break out in huge red welts from bug bites. I sent this insect repellent in for them, and they never came home with another new bite! It is amazing! The smell is a bit different, but not necessarily bad.

Contains sodium lauryl sulfate. Using essential oils is a good thing. Deet free but not sulfate free. You’re better off DIYing it if you’re looking for something alternative.
