In about a minute the detector went off. We then tested it for carbon monoxide by putting it inside our barbecue gril...see moreof the reviewer's review

This product works fine, the instructions are clear on how it should function and what the different beeps mean. My only compliant is that it is very difficult to get the backup battery into the unit. The 9V terminal attachments are in a small space in the unit.see moreof the reviewer's review

This is my second one, having replace the first one at its end-of-life (7 years). I find them to be comforting, knowing that I have CO coverage in the house.
