My middle schooler loves this expandable file folder. We've tried 3 ring binders and trapper keepers, but both were too big and bulky to fit his items. We needed something to fit loose leaf paper, homework papers, DARE manual/book, pencil case, and assignment notebook. All of that was too bulky in the 3 ring binder and trapper keeper. But this expandable file folder fit everything perfectly plus he still has space to add more papers. The zipper is great and it holds everything in. I don't have to worry about his stuff falling out accidently. And it fits perfectly in his bookbag (the trapper took too much space). We'll definitely be buying more next year! Definitely worth buying!
As a teacher, expanding files are incredibly helpful for organizing just about everything. I spent weeks looking for some, but they were all at least $6 for the cheapest quality, which was more than I wanted to pay (I needed 6)...then I found this lifesaver for $2.38 online. I managed to locate one in store and was able to check that the quality was sufficient before ordering five more online. I received a darkish green, white, red, blue, and light blue. So far they have held up well, though it has only been a week. The zipper has been so helpful as I don't have to worry about spilling papers during transit (I'm a klutz). The only downside I notice is that sometimes the divider labels slip down in their holders, but it's not a big deal and I definitely find it preferable to the labels falling out - a problem I've had with dividers in the past.
This is organizer is an excellent value! (I ordered it on sale at target.com for $2.38.) It has seven pockets to organize your materials. You can also add a "cover" and slip it inside the front pocket so that you know what's in the folder without opening it! The organizer comes with tab inserts so that you can label all of the sections. Finally, the organizer zips all the way around so that you'll never lose your papers if your drop it! I ordered three of these folders. While the cover on all three is clear, the backs are different colors. I received a red folder, a green folder, and a white folder. (Target.com's picture looks like a blue folder.) This organizer is even nicer than the Mead six-pocket expandable folder. That folder only has six pockets; it does not have a pocket in front to label the files; it does not come with the tab inserts; and the folder has a "bungee cord" closure instead of a zipper.
