Q: Does this product contain optical whiteners? You can tell if it fluoresces in sunlight. Optical brightener makes cream colored fabrics look different under sunlight. Thank you.

This is the best detergent for the price and quality, but Target, you need to step up your game with laundry detergent, sheets. And affordable sheets. I get them on Amazon but I would like to get them from target at a decent price. If I have to buy plastic. I will buy this, but let’s please try to keep plastic out of the landfills as much as you can.

Couldn’t find my tried & true All Free & Clear, so bought this. Ummmm. I have been so unbelievably itchy that I had to book a dr’s appt. Weird musty smell as others have mentioned, and it didn’t seem to actually clean / seemed to leave a ‘film’ on clothes as if it didn’t fully wash out. Everyone is different, but it was a disaster of a product for me.

I had bought this detergent last year and didn’t have a problem with it! Bought it again and although the price is great, you get what you pay for, and that’s clothes smelling like you washed them in dirty sock water and then left them in the washer for a week! I’ll be sticking to All or Tide fragrance free from now on!

I always use name brand free & clear detergent, but decided to pick up the target brand to save money. Once in a while, I would notice a load of laundry that smelled like super dirty socks (lol). I didn't put two and two together until reading other reviews saying the same thing! I have also been getting a bunch of itchy little bumps, so unfortunately this detergent doesn't do what it's intended to. I'm definitely going to be switching back to name brand ASAP!!!
