A: The Germ Guardian FLT4825 HEPA Genuine Replacement Filter B used in the CDAP4500BCA is a combination filter. It includes a HEPA filter that captures 99.97% of allergens as small as .3 microns. It also contains a pre-filter/activated carbon filter layer that captures odors from cooking, pets and smoking.

A: You will need the FLT4825. This filter will be replaced every 6 months and vacuumed off once a month. The filter is replaced by removing the back pane, pulling the old filter out and placing the new one in the same way.

A: You cannot remove the front panel. The unit is designed to blow are out of each side rather than the front.

Had this less than 3 months and started making a noise with the fan. Unfortunately, I threw the box out after a month. Now I cannot return it and paid 160 for it. Is nice that it has auto feature for air quality and UV sanitizing that you can see the light to know it’s on, BUT the fact that the fan started to make a noise in 3 months time is not good.

Very quiet. Would have liked instruction manual to say more about the UV-C feature. There is hardly any mention of it. Without the explanation or a separate instrument to check the reading leads me to question the viability of the air cleaning mode.

This thing is hyper quiet. You can't hear the fan at all on fan level 1 or 2. Until after 3 months, the one I purchase started making a hissing noise. Disappointing as it's only been a couple months since purchase. going through warranty is just a hassle.
Otherwise, the bluetooth and alexa integration is really smooth.

I have two pets and this works great for any lingering odors. I am able to breathe better and feel safer with the HEPA filter and UV-C feature. I hooked up the WIFI and can control this from my phone from work so that when I get home the unit is on and purifying my house before I arrive.

This is the 3rd germ guardian air purifier I placed in my house. This one is the new model with bells and whistles. I think the extra makes the air purifier harder to operate than the previous generation. The WiFi control is convenient but take time to set up and not very reliable. The speed control is too sensitive. I like the older generation much more.

The actual air purifier is awesome. The app sucks. It wants to use your location always which doesn’t make sense. The Dyson app for their purifiers is much better. Dyson provides more analytics about air quality and doesn’t invade your privacy.
