Hate the smell. Makes the towels smell a bit too. Purple bottle is way better.

Every time I use this, my hair smells like bad ‘80s men’s cologne. I don’t notice a fragrance when I’m in the shower, but when my hair dries the scent is very strong and it’s a horrid smell. Conditioner doesn’t cover it up. I’m making myself finish the bottle because it does help with dandruff, but no more than other products that smell better.

Purchased this for a family member whose itchy scalp was immediately relieved by the H&S sensitive scalp dandruff defense shampoo; purchased for myself and discovered that the fragrance ingredients cause an extreme allergic reaction: temporary swelling of ear canals and loss of hearing that lasts for 2-3 days (until next shampoo with different product washed away the fragrance). Discontinued use of H&S product immediately once we realized this was causing the issue.

1 star off because of the strong sulfur/leather smell. Aside from that, this clinical formula has worked the best for my chronic dry flaky scalp. I saw results after a month on weekly usage. I started off with using 2x a week and eventually worked my way down to 1-2x a month. In the shower, I wet my hair, lather using a dime size (I have a pixie cut) for a few min. I rinse and then i massage a little jojoba or coconut oil into my scalp, lather some more shampoo, rinse, and condition. Using the scalp oil helps prevent my scalp from drying out from the strong formula. It's been at least year since using this and will continue using it!

Cleared my dandruff after about two weeks of use three times a week when the regular head and shoulders would not clear it up after six months . Now I don’t have to worry about my hair as much or wash it as often and it stays flake free. The smell is decent, but it definitely has some sulfer undertones but I feel like it washes out anyways so the smell doesn’t last

I bought this product because I saw so many people say that it helped their dandruff. I've struggled for several years with a flaky scalp, and normal dandruff shampoo wasn't helping. This shampoo smells gross, kind of like Nair with a sulfurous undertone, but I figured I could put up with the smell if it helped my dandruff. After washing with it, my hair and scalp felt very clean and fresh. However, after using it for a week, I found I still had flakes. So unfortunately, I'm going to have to keep looking for something that will cure my dandruff.

After the first wash, I could already feel a difference to my scalp, it also has a luxurious lather and this helps with the task of washing my hair, leaving it feeling clean and silky. Wasn’t expecting from this Brand. I always had issues with head & shoulders before. My scalp is really sensitive and using this was great! Smells good actually leaves your scalp nice and fresh. Also always check before buying these products. There’s different ones for each scalp condition always do your research before buying. It was a great buy!

I think this will work for most people. I wouldn't call my scalp super sensitive but I can't use other products like styling aids. This doesn't seem strong enough for me. I don't have psoriasis or other conditions besides dry scalp and dandruff. Mine acts up when seasons change and weather as well. So right now it's acting up and this isn't working well enough. I did notice some hair fallout but that could be a me thing. I shed a lot due to my Hypothyroidism and it's gotten worse after having Covid in December. Who knew it would stick around that long? I use this every other time I shampoo but I'm wondering if I need to use it all the time I wash my hair. I will say the regular Clinical worked better even though it dried my hair out like the Sahara. I'll keep using it and see.

I have an extremely sensitive scalp and everything I was using before this crossed my path irritated my scalp. I finally settled with shampoos that were the least irrigating until I meet this shampoo. It was a complete game changer for me. I was able to get the much need dandruff relief I needed but this also kept my sensitive scalp in mind. The best of both worlds. The smell is not overpowering and doesn't put tears in my eyes will shampooing. Which is a huge plus for me. Its a pleasant scent not particularly fit for just a man or women but more unisex. Overall this is a great shampoo & it has changed my hair dramatically. Love it!!

It smells nice and leaves my hair feeling wonderful but the anti-dandruff properties are what makes this my go-to especially in the winter. When my hair is dry and my scalp is dry, this really works to moisturize and nurture a tender scalp. I highly recommend.
