My search for pizza parlor ranch dressing is over...
I’m one of those people who feels that ranch is a necessary dipping sauce for pizza (and fries), like soy sauce is for sushi, or jus for a French dip. One day I decided to look into recipes for that particular type of ranch you get from the local pizza parlor. My research led me to numerous pizza kitchen veterans saying it was just Hidden Valley Ranch mix with fresh ingredients. Well, they were correct! At least regarding what I wanted… I do make some changes depending on how I’m feeling though. I usually add dried oregano, black pepper, msg, dried dill weed, and maybe a squeeze of kewpie mayo in addition to the regular stuff. Just follow your heart when it comes to how much. Anyway, this was the key to my enjoyment of parlor style ranch at home, whenever I want. Oh - and it makes for a mean garden salad too! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR RANCH FIENDS LIKE ME! 🍕🍟🥗

For anyone counting calories…this 0 calorie on the packet is misleading. They are allowed to round anything below 5 calories per serving to zero. Considering their serving is 1/4 tsp with over 30 servings in a packet. and everyone is going to use more than 1/4 tsp per meal. Well, it’s just misleading.

CAUTION : Loaded with Sodium!
These have a TON of sodium! They taste great but wow. I mixed with cottage cheese and at it on bell peppers… it was so delicious but was 500% of my daily sodium with each serving!

I use these packets in my potatoes. If you’re reading this you should definitely try it. Combine olive oil, ranch seasoning, salt and pepper then pour over your diced potatoes and bake for 30-40 minutes. My mother in law showed me this, Soooo good.
