  • A: Hello, The maximum height of a threshold that all Roomba models can transition over, when performing a cleaning cycle, is ⅝ in (1.6 cm). So as long the rug is not higher than these dimensions, the robot will be able to clean it.

Great vacuum with easy to use app. Set up and scheduling is very simple and intuitive. Great with pet hair. Only downside is not very powerful suction. Does not always suck up sand on entry rugs, etc.

I have 4 indoor dogs one of which is a German Shepherd and I am absolutely amazed at what a great job this vacuum does with picking up hair and debris! I will never buy anything but roomba again! I also own the Brava jet and I am just as pleased with the performance of mopping…..my next purchase will be the J9+!!

I have now had three of the J series robots in the last 24 months, because after a period of time they become Squirrley and they're unmanageable and they're very costly to keep replacing parts all the time at first it's a great product but overtime it starts failing

It does a great job on our tile floors, which is most of our house. I think it's adequate on carpet. I'm having issues with the keep out zones. It will do great for awhile, then suddenly the robot goes under the sofa in the living room, or a nightstand in the bedroom, or a shelf in the den and gets caught. It wanders around under there until I free it. Overall, I'm happy with it's performance.

I hardly used this product for 100 hours or so and in a span of 1 year it stopped working. Tried to reach to their customer care and they suggested to buy new one. It stopped working just after 10 days from 1 year. Looks it was programmed to do so to mint money. I will stay away from this company

It worked great for 18 months. Then was running into things and finally started throwing code for camera system. I contacted support and said it was over 12 month warranty. This unit cost way too much money to only last 18 months.

The roomba I am currently using was a warranty replacement. My previous J7 failed to avoid animal waste And had to be repaired. The replacement is much louder and does not submit pictures for my review to manage obstacles. I am grateful it was replaced at no cost to me but disappointed that it is not the quality performance of my original.

Jay is our 3rd Roomba. 1 & 2 were purchased before we retired to keep the house clean as we had cats and weren't all that impressed with a Kenmore Vacuum that we had. We've carried them to two homes since and when one started give trouble (I think the main drive bearings are worn) I picked up Jay, and it's not the self- emptying model, to take up the slack. Somewhat disappointing though. The bin is smaller than before and the battery must be smaller as well as Jay will return to the charging station and then go back to work. Jay is tasked.with doing a small kitchen, a living/dining area, a master suite, and one of the two other bedrooms. Is that too much? I don't know.

This is my fourth iRobot and probably my least favorite. My other ones rarely required attention, but this one requires something manual almost every time it runs. It was supposed to sense dog poop, and I needed that with a young puppy. Well, it didn't sense the poop and I ended up with poop smeared all over my house. Not only that, but I had to don gloves, take the unit apart, and thoroughly clean and disinfect it. It did a great job of mapping the house and is a time-saver, but I still manually vacuum to get everything.

I have wanted one since they first came out. I got this for Christmas and there just aren't words to describe how much I love it. It cleans well and is so easy to start from the app. It takes me about 5 minutes to move cords out of its way and off it goes!!!
