JAPONESQUE Cuticle Nipper

I’ve used many different brands of cuticle nippers and this is hands down the worst. Maybe I got a dud, but this thing left my cuticles ragged. It’s super dull. I used my normal cuticle softener. I had to cut at the same spot multiple times and tug a bit in order to finally get my cuticles to budge. Extremely overpriced for a useless product.

Very dull! I’d go with another brand.

Should have paid attention to the reviews. the spring constantly comes in clipped and causes these to slip while you're using them. Completely useless and can cause you to cut yourself - save your money!

Easy to use with lots of control. Inexpensive tool for cuticle control at home.

This things are horrible. DULL!! They ripped my cuticles instead of cutting them. They were difficult to open into the cutting position, like the screw was too tight. Save your money!

These things are trash. The spring is not stabilized and constantly unclips and pops you while you’re using the tool. Save your money

These are horrible. They are not sharp and the blades don’t even line up. I bought these thinking they would be the better choice because they were the most money. Ended up being a complete waste

It broke with normal use.

I bought these as a less expensive option to replace a nice Tweezerman pair I bought years ago that fell out of alignment after being dropped too many times. I thought these were a good deal compared to the ~$26 for new Tweezermans bc the price tag below them in the store said $10, but someone must've stocked them in wrong slot bc when I got home, I saw that they actually rang up as $15. I wish I had returned them for this price discrepancy, bc the pair I have either have an isolated issue or there is an inherent design flaw that makes them nearly impossible to use. The nippers come in the closed position with a little safety cap for the sharp tip. You are supposed to take off the cap, open them up, and then slide a small metal piece straight up to create the counter-pressure so you can close them for cutting. The nippers are very sharp, but the small metal piece does not stay in place. There is a notch on the inside of the handle that is supposed to hold the small piece in place, but on my pair, that notch is off-center. As a result, the small metal piece always slips out of place when I try to make a cut and snaps against my finger, which really hurts. It also prevents me from actually cutting away any cuticles/hangnails, so they are basically useless. Also, they've been in my bathroom for about a month, and the cutting edges have a couple of rust spots. I should've just gone with the Tweezermans again.

I'm not sure what people's deal is with these! They're incredibly sharp (almost to a fault) and do exactly what they say they'll do! Super great quality. I lost my cuticle clippers and need them so I don't pick at my fingers when I'm anxious, and there were only two of them in stock at my local Target, both with kind of bad reviews? I'm glad I went for them anyway because these are perfect; they're almost a little too sharp but hopefully they'll wear down with use.

These have never really been sharp, which causes you to bleed more often. The rotating spring also snapped in half.

These lasted about two uses and became dull. I’ll stick to the cheaper alternatives from Target. I’m just glad I didn’t throw away the pair I had before these. Sad that my old pair (had for about a year) worked better than these new ones.

Works great. Very heavy duty and sharp. I’ve used many and these are the only ones I’ll buy.
