Q: Are these firm and sturdy or are the prongs able to bend in and out?
submitted by Heather - 25 days ago
A: Hello! Thank you for your question! The French Pin has firm prongs that are not moveable to bend in and out. Hope this helps!

Summary of reviews
Guests have found these French pins to be a stylish and effective way to hold various hairstyles, from buns to updos, without the discomfort of traditional hair ties. They are appreciated for their ease of use, durability, and the chic look they provide. The pins are versatile and suitable for different hair types, though some guests with fine hair experienced slippage. The brush and comb included in the product line are also well-received for their functionality and design, though the brush's bristles may not be ideal for all hair types.

These pins have replaced virtually every put-my-hair-up accessory. They can hold my thick, long hair, they don’t leave kinks or creases like hair bands, and they are chic as hell. I bought an extra set so that I could keep a spare pin in my car and purse. A must-have.

You can’t put any resistance on these pins with the weight of your hair, or they twist up.

I have thick curly hair and this is my favorite hair accessory! I bought a pair about 4+ years ago and still use them to this day. I love that I can make it be flat against my head while holding my bun in place, so I can lean my head back without it bothering me ( something I can’t do w claw hair clips). Also, these are super light weight, other brands are heavy. There is some light chipping/scratches on them now but ofc that’s due to YEARS of wear and tear. Came back to write this review bc I’m getting a different color. Worth it!
Strong hold!

I bought this years ago and it has a little bit of a learning curve to it, but once I figured it out, it holds my hair better than any hair tie (even invisibobble) ever did! I can make top knots very tight or looser now. Even my 60 year old moms thin bed shorter hair I can get to stay in her tiny bun!
They work!

I'm in my early 50's, have had long hair most of my life, and can't believe I've never tried french pins before now. I recently saw an online recommendation for another brand but it was almost $50 for one pin and I didn't like the colors/finishes it came in. I googled for some other recommendations and found these and for $10 figured it would be worth it to try. I thought I'd have to watch some videos to figure out how to use them (which I still will to get some other ideas), but I literally twisted my hair into a coil on top of my head and put both pins through on either side, and voila! It holds all day and I don't even feel that they're in there. Love that they do not pull out or break hairs like my usual hair ties do. Just ordered two more sets just so I know I'll always have extras around. Great buy!!

I’ve had these for two days and I’m already obsessed! I have long, thick, coarse hair and they feel like such a relief vs putting my hair up in an elastic. I few years ago my scalp started getting so sensitive that any little tug or pull was uncomfortable, plus I work in the food industry, so my hair is almost always up. These are an absolute game changer and I’m so grateful I got them!
Just buy it!

Why didn’t I order this earlier? So easy to make cute hairstyles and it is so comfortable on your head. I’m in shock by how cute my hair looks.

These are great for styling. I opt for 2 buns one atop the other, and theyre comfortable and the style lasts if the pins are in well. They snag a little bit when going in but its not a dealbreaker.

These really are phenomenal. So much less damaging than hair ties and work better for super thick and long hair than claw clips. I absolutely love these and use them on a daily basis. My favorite thing to do is throw my hair in a bun with these while it’s slightly damp, let it dry in the bun, and I’m left with beautiful, heatless waves.

These have been life changing! My hair is very long and when I wrap it in a bun with the French Pins, it doesn't as tight, where I'm getting headaches but it holds just right!! I even sleep with one in my hair. I have all 3 colors and I'm literally OBSESSED!!

I love these! I have long fine hair and nothing stays in THESE DO! They are also stronger than all the plastic ones out there. Thin or thick hair strong.

I'm impressed! These French pins really do hold my hair in place! I used one for a 16 hour work day and my bun was looking great at the end of the day. Extremely impressive!

I have long hair that is naturally 2C/3A curl but straightened by keratin treatments (Brazilian Renewal). These are the first french pins I have tried, and I bought them based on good reviews. They hold my hair securely, and I can't feel anything--much more comfortable than any scrunchie, bobble, or hair tie I've ever tried. I normally wear my hair down to sleep, and I forgot to take it down because the pin was so comfortable. When I woke up, after tossing and turning, my bun was still intact, just looser
Fantastic!!!

Love these hair pins! My is 2 years old, at minimum, and the finish is still flawless. I have type 4 hair and use this pin daily to secure my buns. The products I use typically make the coating on bobby pins peel off but hasn't harmed this French pin. Really great for preventing damage.

After this I didn’t care for any claw clips or hair ties, keeps your hair bendfree n when you decide to leave your hair it gives you this very chic voluminous wave which is the best. 10/10
