It’s not the worst but it’s not the best either. It has a bit of a sour/tart taste/smell. This can work well with some flavors but not with others. I thought it paired well with Asian sauces but when I tried to do a peanut sauce this was way too sour with it. Overall I think that I prefer other meatless options over this but if your in a pinch it’s easy.

I had a coupon so i thought I would try it and i haven't decided if I like it or not, it's different. I'm not sure what it's supposed to be a substitute for so I can't comapare it to anything. It's a little bland so you have to add your own seasoning and you have to cook it like the directions say or it will come out very dry. The reason I do recommend this is because I'm undecided

After hearing about the great benefits of tempeh, especially the probiotics and high protein, we decided to give it a shot. We picked this brand up and prepared it the same day. I love that the packaging is so helpful and informative for new consumers: It explains that mottling is a normal reaction and gives simple preparation instructions if you don't have the slightest idea where to start. The smell is earthy and pleasant and it worked perfectly for our recipe.
