@mrsmichellegomez Its Black history month and I'm more intentional on Luna learning about black history! Honestly growing up I didn't have a lot of resources on learning more about black leaders in my school besides Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King and a bit of Malcolm X. Its so sad how I didn't learn more about my black history until college! I'm happy that now I can show/tell her that we are leaders, inventors, and still fighting for our rights ✊🏽. I bought a few black history books and books that look like her. I purchased all of them from amazon! SWIPE left to see more. Here are the books I bought: "The ABC's of Black History"- I LOVE this book, the illustrations are great and it gives snippets of history. There's also more information in the back of the book for everything they described. "Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History"- This book has a lot of information for each leader and I think for toddlers it could be a bit much for sitting down and reading. She would definitely get some great information from it as she gets older. But its a great book! I just point to each lady, say their name and what they did. "Full, Full, Full of Love" such a cute book about Sunday family dinners with grandma and family. "Lola at the Library" Luna loves reading this since she points at the books Lola reads and it looks like her. What are your favorite black history books for your children? I'd like to look at more! Her shirt is from target ❤️✊🏽 - - - - - - - - #blackhistorymonth #blackhistory #mrsmichellegomez #motherhood #momlife #girlmom #momma
