@readwithkelssgram Long Live the Pumpkin Queen - Shea Ernshaw Swipe for the goodreads synopsis! 4⭐️ Arguably my favorite movie of all time, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS gets the *perfect* sequel written by the amazingly talented Shea Ernshaw.  The beginning of this book had me hooked instantly. Ernshaw's poetic writing style and attention to detail quite literally made me feel like I was back in Halloween Town at the end of the movie. 🎃 I loved that we were able to explore the other holidays/realms behind the doors that were briefly shown in the movie (Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, etc.). Ernshaw does an incredible job narrating the story entirely from Sally's POV. You can't help but feel like you're along for the ride as she navigates her newfound independence. 🫶 The character growth, people!! At times, the chapters were long and seemed to drag a bit. That being said, short chapters are simply my personal preference... it doesn't make me like the book any less. This is definitely written for a Young Adult audience. BUT, that doesn't take away from the absolute masterpiece that Ernshaw has cultivated within this story! If you're a fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas, I absolutely think you'd enjoy this. Thank you so much to Shea Ernshaw for giving fans the opportunity to experience this magical little universe all over again!!! 🖤🖤🖤

Book Synopsis

Read Sally's story in this young adult sequel to Tim Burton'sThe Nightmare Before Christmas written by New York Times bestselling Shea Ernshaw.

Jack and Sally are truly meant to be ... or are they?

Sally Skellington is the official, newly-minted Pumpkin Queen after a whirlwind courtship with her true love, Jack, who Sally adores with every inch of her fabric seams -- if only she could say the same for her new role as Queen of Halloween Town. Cast into the spotlight and tasked with all sorts of queenly duties, Sally can't help but wonder if all she's done is trade her captivity under Dr. FInkelstein for a different cage. But when Sally and Zero accidentally uncover a long-hidden doorway to an ancient realm called Dream Town in the forest Hinterlands, she'll unknowingly set into motion a chain of sinister events that put her future as Pumpkin Queen, and the future of Halloween Town itself, into jeopardy. Can Sally discover what it means to be true to herself and save the town she's learned to call home, or will her future turn into her worst... well, nightmare?
