Book Synopsis

Oral hygiene is something that has to be taught from an early age, but it is not always easy. Trino Rojo watches her human friend brush her teeth every day and he wants to do it too, but he has a problem: he is a bird!

Every morning mom yells at Julie: "Julie, brush your teeth, or you'll need a filling!" Well, I'm a little bird who looks after his health, and all this business about getting a filling must be horrible, because she talks about it every day. There's no way I'm going to have one of those things in my teeth. Trino Rojo can be many things, but irresponsible is not one of them! But how do birds brush their teeth? Excited, he searches for information on the Internet and consults all the encyclopedias at home, but he does not find any answer. He discovers that other animals brush their teeth gnawing on wood or chewing on some seaweed, so he decides to give it a try. Result: a failure. Will Trino Rojo find a solution for him?

Review Quotes

"Cute if not particularly memorable." --Kirkus Reviews

"Printed on waterproof pages of special grammage, which help to savor in more depth the quality and expressiveness of the illustrations, it constitutes a successful incentive to promote healthy habits among the smallest of the house." --Canal Lector

"A book that, through an endearing protagonist, teaches the importance of brushing our teeth and taking care of our dental hygiene. We missed a story about oral hygiene that was entertaining, that encouraged the little ones to brush their teeth through an entertaining story." --Apegoyliteratura
