A: Good day friend! The Babassu Sulfate-Free Shampoo is formulated without sulfates -- typically a desired trait for those with color-treated hair. We still recommend spot testing as hair becomes more porous when chemically treated. Even with sulfate free and color safe products, color treated hair can still experience some bleeding. We hope these tips can help keep your color-treated hair looking vibrant and healthy for longer! 1. Consider how frequently you wash: Try to wash your hair less often to preserve the color. The more you wash, the faster the color can fade. 2. Cool Water Rinse: try rinsing your hair with cool or lukewarm water. Hot water opens the hair cuticle, which can cause color to wash out more quickly. 3. Deep Condition Regularly: Use a color-safe deep conditioner once a week to keep your hair hydrated and smooth. This helps maintain the color and shine. 4. Try to Avoid Overusing Heat Tools: Minimize the use of heat-styling tools like blow dryers, straighteners, and curling irons. If you do use them, apply a heat protectant spray first to protect your color-treated hair from damage. Don't forget to allow opportunities for hair to rest from heat. 5. Protect from Sun and Chlorine: UV rays and chlorine can cause color to fade. Wear a hat in the sun and use a swim cap or rinse your hair before swimming to minimize chlorine absorption. 6. Purchased this product so my hair wouldn’t shed so much I have fine/thinning curly hair due to my medication. It doesn’t thin so much anymore I loose like 20 hairs when I wash my hair, the thinning phase I went through with my medication is not going on anymore it’s more to maintain the curls. I’m on targeted therapy medication a form of chemo for a tumor. When I researched what was best to maintain my thin curly chemo curls I came upon this shampoo as a suggestion I decided to try it. I regret it. The first time I used it I had 2 days without washing my hair so I thought the amount of hair I lost was ok because I don’t brush my hair the days I don’t wash it just refresh it and scrunch. I washed my hair the next day because my hair looked a little oily from using this shampoo I used Pantene clean 2in1 (my original shampoo) very few hair fall out. Didn’t wash my hair the next day (Wednesday), I washed it today (Thursday) 11/28/24 with this shampoo and the amount of hair that fell off I was scared to look at myself in the mirror because I just knew I’d have a bald spot somewhere I have a pixie so my hair is already short and thin. I’m so disappointed. I will never purchased anything from this brand the amount of reviews people say their hair fell off. I wanted to believe my case would be different. Believe the reviews. Be careful. I will be returning the product it’s like they create problems so you keep using their products. Horrible! I’m going to stick to Pantene and rosemary water like I initially was doing.

Where other name products made hair feel heavy & clumped together & had to be detangled. Babassu conditioning shampoo makes my hair feel clean & weightless. In addition I don't have to used a lot of product to wash my hair so it last a long time.

I'm thankful for the replacement bottles due to the leaking bottles, but I wasn't happy with the thickness of the product. I have never had a shampoo that was like water. One of the replacement bottles wasn't even closed but was very little leakage. Maybe if there was a seal under the cap it wouldn't have leaked plus the replacement bottles had bubbles on top of the liquid shampoo. I would guess that happens from shipping, because it has settled down.

3a/3b hair has been a mess since recent radiation treatment; more brittle and dry than usual, triple the usual hair loss. This shampoo has really helped my hair. Very easy on my super sensitive scalp, doesn’t create problems with my psoriasis. Wonderfully light scent. Wish I’d known about it before this.

I like this shampoo because it smells good and doesn’t really dry out my hair. Its very watery though like someone added water to it to stretch it. That seemed weird to me thats why I didnt give it 4 stars because it seems like it should be cheaper because its not a lot of product for the price.

This is a very good hydrating shampoo. It does not strip my hair. Lightweight. Clarifies. Please change smell. Do NOT like the mint scent. Argan smell please or something similar! Natural hair with heat damage, 3b/3c low density and low porosity.
