Q: With all the coconut cream in this, can someone tell me if this has a coconut flavor?

submitted by LMR - 3 years ago
  • A: Made with 4 simple organic ingredients and crafted using traditional creamery methods, with no added oils or gums. Our creamy, cultured cashew milk base creates a delightfully subtle, tangy flavor. Don’t fret, “coconuty” is not a common descriptor of our delicious cream cheese, but we always recommend trying it yourself!

  • A: No. You can’t taste the coconut. Overall It’s not a good tasting product. I’d try something else.

Q: I have a cream cheese of yours but I don’t see an expiration date on it . I like to take note of those dates.

submitted by Penny - 3 years ago
  • A: Thank you for your inquiry. Our cream cheese date code stamp is a "best by" date and should be on the clear plastic lid of the container. However, it may be a bit challenging to see in bright light due to the ultra-violet glare if in store so best to tip up the cup/lid at an angle to reduce glare of shelf lighting. We hope this helps. And thanks again for reaching out.

I should have read the reviews first since this dairy free cream cheese tastes salty and sour with a weird aftertaste, couldn’t give it a second taste because it’s simply not good. would not recommend.

I usually buy the Kite Hill brand of dairy free cream cheese, which I like but my local Target didn’t carry it anymore so I decided to try this brand. It’s gross compared to Kite Hill. It is very sour tasting. Will not purchase again.

This stuff is NASTY! Idk why people rave about it. It doesn't have the taste or texture of cream cheese! It is great in recipes where you need a sour cream or something like but gross to eat on a bagel. This is the 2nd time I've bought this (thinking it would be better) and it's not. This is the only Miyoko's product I've tried that I don't actually like. Very surprised by this.

I have been looking for a GF and DF cream cheese. This was very sour tasting. I am not impressed. It has a sour aftertaste. I would definitely not purchase again. I’ll keep looking for one that I like.

SO good. these reviews are kind of insane, this stuff is so good for things like bagels or to be used on anything for a spread. not sure if it would work in recipes as a cream cheese replacement, but it’s definitely a great spread. 10/10

It’s an acquired taste & doesn’t go with everything, but I enjoy it once in a while on raw veggies, bananas, inside dates, on potatoes, etc. I love the simple ingredients. Just keep in mind that it is sweeter than a traditional cream cheese because it’s made with cashews (they’re a sweeter nut).

By far the worst dairy free cream cheese I've ever had, it has such a weird and distinct taste, it's sour. I've gotten it a couple times years apart when I've hoped I would like it and it was the only option but I always end up throwing almost all of it away after no one will eat it. I hope they find a better recipe

It went bad too quick. Also, the taste is not as good. I wasn’t expecting to taste like dairy cream cheese obviously but it was more like a soft spread. My main disappointment is how quickly it spoiled.

Well, this is an aquired taste as they say. It doesn't taste just like cream cheese, first bite out of the container (on a spoon) and you might be wondering what it's supposed to be. Still tried it on a bagel with lox hoping to drown out the "cheese" but again, not the same. Was it bad, and deserving of one star reviews? No, not at all, that's just idiocy. If you're looking to switch, give it time and a few tries, then decide.
