When you have IBS, life is better without garlic and onion in your food. I’m glad Rao’s makes this, just hate the expensive price. Always just try to buy it when I find it on sale.

Over the past years I've become increasingly intolerant to garlic and now onion. As a food lover this is absolutely devastating, but products like this bring joy back to food. It is delicious! You don't miss the onion and garlic at all, and I would say if you do. Thank you so much Rao's for making this product and having it be accessible in so many grocery stores!

This is a great sauce and worth the money. I use it for a meat sauce and for margarita pizza (which in Italy is made without garlic or onion so fresh tomato, cheese and basil flavors are enjoyed). I do have food sensitivities but friends I have given it to love it too! Especially for the pizza

This is delicious and worth the money. And it’s great ic you have food sensitivities. I’m addition to making a meat sauce with it, I use it for Margarita pizza which in Italy is made without garlic so try flavors if tomato cheese and basil come through.

This sauce is absolutely incredible. I don’t have food sensitivities but I cannot stand overpowering garlic and onion flavors. I’ve searched for so long for something like this that has simple ingredients and has a great flavor and THIS IS IT! It’s SO delicious. THANK YOU!!!

As with all of Rao's sauces, this one is absolutely delicious. I ordered it for my sister who loves the products but needs something for a sensitive stomach and she is elated! The taste, quality and consistency cannot be beaten.

My husband loves garlic and spice. My stomach does not. My stomach loves this sauce and I love the tomato flavor. My husband loves that he can put all the seasoning on his bowl. It is a win win for us.

It’s delicious, but expensive. I’m allergic to onions and garlic so this sauce in amazing to have: the taste is fantastic. I just wish it were cheaper or available in bulk so I could afford to get it more often. It’s nice to have in stock at home for a quick meal, but otherwise I just make my own to save money.

BAKED TORTELLINI Ingredients * 1 pound ground beef * 3 large cloves garlic minced * 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder * 3/4 teaspoon dried basil * 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley * 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano * 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme * Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes optional * Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste * 1 (24-ounce) Rao’s Sensitive Marinara Sauce * 1 (22-ounce) package frozen cheese tortellini * 8 ounces mozzarella cheese grated (about 2 cups) * 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese Instructions * Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 3-quart baking dish and set aside. * In a large pot set over medium heat, brown ground beef and garlic until meat is no longer pink, breaking it up and stirring frequently. Drain fat. Season meat with garlic powder, dried basil, dried parsley, dried oregano, dried thyme, crushed red pepper flakes (if desired), and salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste. * Stir pasta sauce into cooked ground beef. Pour frozen tortellini into a colander and run under warm water for a minute to slightly thaw. Drain and stir tortellini into meat sauce. * Remove pot from heat and stir in half of the grated mozzarella. Transfer tortellini/meat sauce into the prepared baking dish. Top with remaining grated mozzarella and sprinkle with grated Parmesan. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for about 20 minutes more, or until hot and bubbly. Notes * If you have fresh herbs, feel free to substitute them for the dried herbs (and you may use three times the amount of fresh herbs, since fresh herbs aren't as potent as dried). * If desired, you can add some grated veggies to the meat sauce. * You may substitute refrigerated cheese tortellini for (thawed) frozen tortellini without otherwise changing the recipe.

So gentle and easy to eat after having abdominal surgery. No strong smells if you struggle with nausea either. A little steep in price but cheaper than ordering takeout. Highly recommend!!!

This sauce is phenomenal if you cannot have onion and garlic. I add asafoetida and it adds the garlic and onion flavor. But it’s great without it.

My husband has Crohn’s disease and this is the only red sauce he can eat.
