A: Hi, Scoobysnax! The Roku Streambar doesn't come with the private listening but the Roku Streambar Pro does have the private listening remote. If you wanted the Streambar but still have the private listening you can always download the free Roku Mobile app on your phone and either plug in headphones to your phone or use Bluetooth headphones with your phone for free private listening. The last option is to buy the Voice Remote Pro which is a universal remote that has private listening as well as a rechargeable remote, lost remote finder, hands-free and push-to-talk controls.

Ive purchase this over a year ago and have to manage the volume and bass because the speakers have blown twice and I’ve had to have it replaced. Now I’m out of warranty and can’t replace it any longer. I don’t raise the volume over 30. It has great features, looks good, solid sound quality but speakers blow over time.

It hardly ever works correctly. When you turn the tv off the sound is still playing, as of current, im getting an error that says screen navigation isn’t supported, the last time it said the remote wasn’t supported. This thing is a mess. I got it for Christmas and I’m tired of it already. So the screen is stuck where it’s at and I can only use the voice function to get to a channel.. that’s it can’t go to the menu . Complete waste of money.

Sound is okay. Not much of a step up from any TV made in the last few years. The real problem is how unbelievably weak/slow the connection is. This thing lags worse than that fat rhino in Jumanji (the original). There is a full 3-5 second delay between pressing a button and anything happening on screen. The little baby Roku works a thousand times better than this thing. Over it. Thumbs down.

Easy hook up and I enjoy the one wire connection. The sound is clear and volume adjustments are very nice. Although I love the sound bar, the interface is glitchy and many times very troublesome after months of use. Sometimes the sound bar does not respond or freezes up. Sometimes I have to reboot the bar to get it back to working. Sound adjustment sometimes freezes. I believe these are part of the built-in streaming device. I might have to plug in my old Roku streaming stick and just run the sound through the sound bar through the optical cord as it becomes very intermittent and quite annoying having to reboot or restart it. I'm a long time Roku purchaser and customer but have to say this product is not ready as a full built-in unit. Thank you

The streaming never worked as well as the separate device we used to have. Video was choppy and always had issues with picture quality. Decided to use the smart tv and the role stream bar for the sound. That worked for about a year and now it fades in and out all the time. Didn’t even get a good 2 years out of the devise. Truly disappointed in the quality. Would not recommend.

It works well for the features advertised. I have it hooked up to a computer monitor. It would have been nice if the streamer had a power off button so that the monitor will go to standby. I did not see a way to stop sending signal to the display. The monitor can supply USBC power so if the unit had USB-C power input, it would be one less cable for me to run.

i’ve had this for about a year and a half so i feel my review holds truth. i also never take the time to write reviews and i wish i had better ones when i purchased this product. for $100 (bought on sale) this thing is so worth it. the hookup was easy and the sound is so nice. there obviously better out there but you’ll have to spend more than $100 to get it! i don’t understand where the negative reviews are coming from, this is so worth it.

Worked great at first but after a fairly short while the sound became very distorted. Tried all the troubleshooting steps with no luck. The only way to use it now is to dial the bass down to it's lowest setting, Many others are posting similar problems.

I have to go back into my settings to reconnect. not sure why it keeps dropping. the speaker sounds great in my apartment. deep sound with deep bass. i don't crank the volume too high, but i have read that people that raise volume high, it doesn't sound distorted. i don't think speaker is really made for ranked up volume, its loud enough and sound sweet. i've had to lower my bass, and it's better.

I bought this for an ancient set up I have down in the basement. An old Sharp Aquos TV that I have with first gen HDMI inputs. Be aware that if you don’t have ARC hdmi, you’re going to have to use the optical cable provided. When I finished set up, I no longer had sound coming from my floor speakers going through an old technics receiver and to the tV with L/R audio cables. I tried everything to restore audio through my receiver to the floor speakers but there seems to be no way to do it. I got this sound bar because of the Airplay feature and didn’t think it would dominate all my other audio source which sounds better than this sound bar alone. I’d say the sound is like an upgraded clock radio. My floor speakers are superior through the receiver. If only I could restore them to work with this sound bar. But it seems as though I will eventually have to buy the Roku wireless speakers and subwoofer if I want to match the audio quality I had prior to this sound bar.

Sound will get loud and low. I do not play loud music. Disappointed because I did like how small it powerful it was. But speakers do not last.
