Lopezcrew7 Great safety covers for outlets and cords - These Safety 1st Outlet Cover and Cord Shorteners are a great way to eliminate extra cord length and protect our little ones from electrical outlets and hanging cords. They were very quick and easy to install and simple to use. I was able to fit a 10 ft phone charging cable inside of the cover, so there is quite a bit of space. It blends in great with our walls which are white, so it’s not very noticeable either. It sticks out from the wall about 3”, so there is a good amount of depth to it which allows for quite a bit of space for the cord length. There are two spaces on the underside that allow the two cords passage from the cover. The entire cover is vented all around, which I imagine is to allow airflow and prevent any heat or moisture to build up. It takes a very firm grip/squeeze in order to remove the cover as well, so I feel confident that they will keep our kids from removing them. This is definitely a great safety feature to have with all the electronics we have in our home and I would definitely recommend it to any parent with young toddlers.
