Safety 1st OutSmart Cabinet Slide Lock

Unfortunately this item was bought to lock cabinet door, but wasn't wide enough to reach both knobs, so it had to be returned.

You could tell these were kind of cheaply made, but they got the job done. My toddler was unable to get the cupboards open and feast on his choice of snacks thanks to their product.

My 2.5 year old son somehow finds his way into locked cabinets by figuring out how to open safety locks. We have magnet locks on kitchen cabinets, but not in other parts of the house. I used these Outsmart Slide Locks in the bathroom, laundry room, and on our food storage cabinets in a lower level. He's tried to open them and CAN'T!! Not yet, anyway. The DECOY button really works and he's tried to figure out how to press it right. I think the trick is to NOT open it in front of him, because he might catch on, but the ACTUAL buttons to press while sliding are concealed and a child wouldn't see them by inspecting it. They are easy to open and close, too. Definitely worth getting if you have a child preparing to be Inspector Gadget.

These little locks are an ultra-easy way to keep your cabinets closed to tiny baby fingers. With this slide cabinet lock, I liked how easy they are to glide and adjust. I didn't have to pull extra hard or pinch and hold and pull to get them open. There aren't any issues with being unable to get them the open type of issues. These locks work to stop the baby from getting the doors wide open but not pulling on them and banging the doors closed. I didn't want to make the locks too tight; I prefer to have just a pinch of wiggle room. I like that the width of the lock sides is accommodating. Being too narrow was an issue I've previously had, and these 'Outsmart Slide Locks' have given me a bit more freedom. I put those on my cabinet where my chemicals live, and the is no sense of worry anymore, now that the locks are installed. This is definitely a great personal purchase and a great accessory to have a part of a baby shower gift. Giving the gift of safety is a no-brainer. Sharing the ease of this product was the easiest for me. Teaching my mother about the locks was easy. She has been able to maneuver the pieces and get them to secure with ease as well properly.

I have a 7.5 y/o and almost 4 y/o ( rivals hydini) My almost 4 year old required additional baby proofing from what we had already done with our first. These outsmart slide locks were a welcomed addition to our already burglar bars for sliders doors, safety nobs for doorhandles, double high baby gate for the kitchen and carabineer for the back gate in our yard. Easy to use for adults, durable and not easy to remove for tiny hands helping us ensure her safety

This is one of the best safety products I have tried. Most of the ones I have tried my baby was able to figure out how to open. So far, so good.

Was able to get a set of these Outsmart slide locks. They are very nice and works great to keep my kids out of the cabinet. My kids always got into this one cabinet and was never able to find a lock for it. This works!

I very much love these cabinet locks. I have 3 year old triplets and none of them have figured these out. They're so distracted with the decoy "button" on the front that they haven't figured out the real way of opening them. They're a good size so I'd imagine they fit most cabinets, they fit all the cabinets in our home. Their sleek design helps them look less obnoxious on the cabinet fronts too!

We have a different brand that does the same thing; however, my toddler can't figure this one out. I LOVE the "dummy" button. She tries to push it with no luck. Will definitely be recommending this to my friends with little ones!!

I like these locks for my cabinets in the kitchen. They work nice though I do notice depending on the type of nob it doesn't fit as snug but it keeps out my toddler like its supposed to do. So no complaints here

I am a mom to a curious 2 year old who likes to get into everything. These worked really well and he went straight for the fake button. After awhile, he gave up on the button and left the lock alone. I just have to make sure not to open it where he can see the secret. I recommend! May not work for every kid, but so far it's working for mine.

This product is very study! Much moreso than other generic brands we have used in the past. There is a "decoy" button on the front that makes the child think you have to press it to release the lock. It had me fooled!! I had to read the instructions to determine how to actually open the lock. Very easy and quick (once you know how to do it! haha) Works great on both my cabinets and my side by side refrigerator doors.

You wouldn't believe how easy this is to install and use! The biggest thing is that it's BEYOND a must if you have children. All you have to do is squeeze the sides. You don't have to break your hand, but a firm squeeze is all it takes to loosen it up so you can slide the lock off. Then slide the U-piece track through your cabinet doors. This will prevent your child from opening the cabinet doors where anything from bathroom or kitchen cleaning supplies are kept, or cabinets with a bunch of items are kept. After that you simply slide the lock back through the U-shaped track. That's it! It's locked! The good thing is a "dummy button" on the front. The child's first thought is "push the button & it will come off". They can push the button all day and it will not unlock. It takes an adult to squeeze the slides firmly to unlock it. Even if a little one learns to squeeze the lock, little hands couldn't open it well enough. Mothers, fathers, day care workers... any place where children aren't allowed... MUST get this! It's quality material that beats out ANY brand that I've seen!

These are really great products. I used them on my pantry door to keep even the older kids out. The decoy button fooled even them! These are strong and sturdy and really do a great job.

We like using these to help keep our curious toddler out of places she shouldn't be getting into. We found the devices easy to use for us, and hard to maneuver for her (which is sort of the point).

The OutSmart Slide Lock has kept my rambunctious and curious toddler out of all my easy to access cabinets. It was easy to install and use and is very durable... withstanding the "throw-your-whole-weight-behind-it" pull from my toddler when he realized he could no longer get into the cabinets. My son gets into EVERY THING and I would constantly find him pulling out pots and pans, glass bowls, etc from our cabinets and even cans of cat food from our storage cabinet! This little lock not only keeps him out but has a "fake" button to "out-smart" my little hellion into thinking he can figure out how to open it. The Outsmart Slide Lock was something I didn't even realize I was missing but has since become a staple in child proofing our home.

This was very easy to use and set up, my 1 & 3 year olds were unable to even budge this lock! Very simple and user friendly!

Finally a lock my toddler has not figured out to unlock. These were a great addition to childproofing my lower cabinets. I will be purchasing more for the rest of the home!

The OutSmart Slide Lock does what it's supposed to do. It's easy to assemble and wrap around knobs, and the sliding feature helps create a tight lock around them. This doesn't stop the lock from falling downward; I wish it would stay horizontal.

One of the best products I've used. My daughter is two and can get into anything so this has helped so much. Would use again
