Granted I have not bought a new tv for a few years, so maybe I don’t have the best frame of reference …. but Samsung is a great brand and I think this tv is well worth the price. If you have any savvy with smartphones or the like, this is very easy to set up. The hard part is getting it out of the box and on the legs. You must have two able bodied folks to do this! The instructions are very detailed. Make sure you follow them. Other than that I love it - and I can’t really complain about the packaging because it did get here safely. (The legs are a little tricky - seems stable enough now but if you think you might rather hang it on the wall, I would if I were you.)

Wonderful tv at a wonderful price! This is definitely the largest tv we have owned, and we are definitely happy with our purchase. We went with Samsung because it has been the most reliable and best quality of all the tv brands we have tried. I also love the new Samsung gaming hub feature. It lets you play games from various console and game companies right from the tv! You can use pretty much any controller you already have (our switch controllers work thankfully). The only drawback is if you don't have a great internet connection (which we don't unfortunately) it can be difficult as the games are streaming and not downloaded, so need a decent connection for smooth playing.

Hi Dpadgett, Thank you for your purchase and review of the CU7000 TV. It’s unfortunate to hear your TV is turning on by itself. Please try a few troubleshooting steps that may help solve the issue: 1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds. 2. Check the power cord to see if there is any visible damage. 3. Plug the TV power cord back into the wall outlet. If you were using a surge protector, bypass it for now and use a wall outlet. 4. Try to update the software. In some cases, a software update can correct the problem. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software. 5. Disable the Power On with Mobile option. TVs that can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on. If you do not want this function, navigate to Menu > Settings > All Settings > Connection > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off. If you’re using the device through HDMI, it could cause the auto-on, as Anynet+ is enabled. Occasionally, connected devices such as game consoles (PS5, Xbox) or cable set-top boxes can send a turn-on signal, for example, if they have software updates. We recommend you try turning Anynet+ off, as it may be causing an auto power-on. Go to Menu > Settings > All Settings > Connection > External Device Manager > Anynet+, then disable. Last week I purchased The Samsumg 55" Class Crystal UHD CU7000 / UN55CU7000FXZA It says it comes with the Samsumg Gaming Hub, but when I configured, the Wifi, my Samsung account, third party App and everything, There’s no Gaming Hub in the Menu, Just the search icon, and media Icon and App, but no Game icon in the left corner menu. Very Disappointing 😔

I like the picture, but if you enjoy full screen viewing on movies. The feature just isn’t available when using the tv’s Netflix app. Same on Apple TV. You’re stuck with cropped videos, giving up 4-5 inches on top and bottom. Talked with Samsung and verified that their tv apps don’t support it. This should be standard on all tvs.

Black bars will appear at the top and bottom of the screen when watching movies with aspect ratios different from your TV. Adjust the picture size options on your external device or set the TV to full screen. Go to Home > Settings > All Settings> Picture > Picture Size Settings > Picture Size. If it is greyed out, this has to do with the specific Apps settings. If you ever have questions or need help, Samsung is here for you! I loved this TV at first. Picture is great, however I can rarely use it as it refuses to acknowledge the internet. It's the least smart TV I have seen. It frequently says no internet is available despite every other device in the house being fine including the Xbox attached to it. Almost every time I want to use it I have to reenter the password even though it's saved and even then it's 50/50 on it working

First, let's ensure you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update. To ensure you do not miss any Firmware Updates, I recommend enabling Auto Updates. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update> then select Auto Update. Next, let's try running a cold boot on your TV. To do so, hold down the Power button on the Samsung TV remote until the TV turns off and then on again. This should take about 5 seconds. I hope these tips help resolve your concerns. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV is really smart but easy to work. Watching movies you can't tell it's a TV because it so clear. Navigating the apps aren't hard either . Plus you can program your phone to run your TV. It's great I wish I had one in all my rooms!
