Q: my tire says 37-622 700x35C Is this the right tube? I think it is a 26" tire.

submitted by Cindy - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi Cindy- you will need a 28" tire for your 700c sized tire. This particular tire would not fit your bike. Thanks

Q: my tire size is 26x2.35, will this tube be the right one?

submitted by mikey - 5 years ago
  • A: This tube is designed fit 26" tires with a width of 1.75" to 2.125". This may not be fully wide enough for your 2.35" width. Thanks, Nicole

Q: My bike tires measurements are 27 x 1 1/4 inch and I can't find a 27 inch tube would this one fit? If not would the 28 inch tube?

submitted by NickTrash - 6 years ago
  • A: Hi Nick, the 26" tube would be too small for the 27" tire. It likely wouldn't inflate to the correct size to properly hold the tire in place on your wheel. I would recommend checking with the manufacturer of the bike for the specifications or availability of the tube you need. Thanks, Jen

Q: Is this tire for 700x38c tires?

submitted by Mike - 6 years ago
  • A: Hi Mike - this tube wouldn't fit your hybrid tire. Check out our Schwinn 28" Self-Sealing Bike Tire Tube right here on target.com. It'll fit your bike. It's designed to fit 700c or 28" x 35 mm - 42 mm tires. Thanks

Started leaking green liquid during installation which sealed up the valve and prevented full inflation. Returned.

Never be caught dead in the water

4 out of 5 stars
Michael Brown - 4 years ago
The only time I'm caught dead in the water now is my first flat on a new bike that doesn't yet have a slime tube, and you don't want to be caught dead in the water in Minneapolis now. The big thing this tube gives you is some time, as your flat is no longer immediate and catastrophic. Either you'll discover your flat in the morning on getting up, or you'll eventually notice low tire pressure while riding and you'll still have about 20 minutes to get to a bus stop or a Target for a new tube. The slime actually clogging the nozzle thing is was pretty rare in my case, I had it happen once in 20 years. If you let some air out of your tube, like I do when I first putting a tube on before filling it completely, a bit of slime will likely spray out. As for the rubber, I'd say it compares to all the other generic tubes out there that take on different brand names but are basically the same just OK quality. It can be hard to find in Target, particularly the larger 700c/28 size. Bike shops rarely carry it as it cuts into their $20+ per flat income. I did have it explode once on filling, when filling it, which was surprisingly loud and messy, as mentioned by others. Alas, the Schwinn brand doesn't guarantee quality anymore (it's really Pacific).

Hi Michael, Thank you for your review! We always appreciate feedback from our customers. As for the exploding tubes, this often happens when filling your tubes with an air compressor. They inflate the tube too quickly, causing weak spots. We recommend always using a hand-pump to re-inflate your tires. You may want to check out our Schwinn Cyclone Max Refresh Floor Pump (or similar models) that includes a large, easy-to-read PSI level gauge. Thank you, Jamie

Exploding Tube

1 out of 5 stars
2 days after purchase the tire exploded (blast sound was unbelievably loud) while I was transporting the bike to go for a ride. The sound actually scared the heck out of me while driving my car. It was so loud, not something I would expect from a bicycle tire tube. Obviously, there was some type of chemical reaction due to the green substance in the tube the manufacturer should be aware of. Just read multiple reviews describing an "explosion". I called Pacific Cycle customer service and was told in a very robotic manner by the rep. that is the first time she heard of such an incident and will share it during her next team meeting. To add to this mess the green chemical leaked all over my garage floor and driveway after tube removal. I could not remove the green stuff from the driveway, it kind of sealed onto it.

Replaced both tubes on our bike in about 15-20 minutes. Followed directions on the box and it worked out well. Went riding the next day on pavement, dirt, and gravel and tires were fine.

These are just backups from the stock ones that are on my Huffy. They work good though, even though I've used a different brand, they essentially work the same.
