Sunbeam Portable Fingertip Pulse Oximeter

It didn’t work. The power stayed on 1 second. I put fresh batteries in and it still powered off immediately before taking a reading. I’m disappointed as I usually like Sunbeam products.

This is a bit challenging to use. You need to be completely still and hold it in place with the other hand so that it doesn’t move.

It only works about 1/2 the time. The rest of the time it just shuts itself off. would not recommend,

Simple pulse Ox. No memory or anything fancy. I bought just in case of Covid and to check my oxygen periodically otherwise. Works fast and easy. Just one button to press to turn on. Turns off automatically once you remove it.

It came with a Fingertip Pulse Oximeter to measure oxygen levels and pulse rate, the batteries needed to use it, a lanyard, protective case, and instructions. It features a large easy to read display and has a comfortable grip. It even states that it is great for sports and aviation use. Overall this is something that the whole family can use. We can easily take it with us as well as it came with the lanyard and the protective case but also because it is portable and small. It has worked great each time we have used it and I think this will be something that will come in very handy to have on hand.

It also has a case which keeps it protected for storage. I just put my finger in position and within seconds, I can get my results (Oxygen and pulse) that pops up on the screen.

The unit comes with a battery and all one needs to do is take the device out of the box, slide in the battery and you are ready. Slide it on to your finger and start. That's it. Nothing else to do. And the reading is displayed in a clear large display with large figures that make it easy to read in bright or dark environments. A small soft case is provided to store the device when not in use or for carrying it if needed. Good thinking and this bag makes it easy to carry it. And as I said, it is very light which also make it easy to carry.

Particularly in the age of COVID-19 when everyone is concerned about respiratory illness. We use it for our son who has mild asthma and has had previous issues with low blood oxygen. This device is very easy to set up, it’s easy to use, and it works really well. This kit comes with the pulse oximeter, 2 AAA batteries, a lanyard, a protective case, and instructions. The instructions on how to setup and use the pulse oximeter are extremely easy and straightforward to understand. To set it up all you have to do is install the batteries and the insert the lanyard into the designated spot; the batteries were easy to install but the lanyard took a few tries to get the loop in there. Next to operate the device all you have to do is place it on your finger, hit the power button, and wait 30 seconds for the reading to stabilize and that’s it. The display clearly and largely shows your oxygen level and pulse rate. When you’re finished using the pulse oximeter all you do is take it off and it automatically shuts off on its own after a couple of seconds. Then you can store it in the protective case which is super handy to store it in; the case also has a loop if you want to thread it onto a belt as well as a small D ring. All in all, this is a really nice pulse oximeter! This pulse oximeter is very easy to setup, use, and it works really well. I would absolutely recommend it!

This device is a lifesaver to say the least. Every time my kids went to the hospital they had this same device attached to their finger. It is a blessing to know that I can now do this at home and know when my child needs their rescue inhaler, or other form of medicine. I can rest easy because of this.

Some workouts I follow call out heart rates and without this oximeter, I have no idea if I am anywhere near it. I can only guess. But now that I have this, I can easily grab it, put my finger in, wait a a few seconds and my pulse rate shows up, along with my oxygen level. I also love having this on days when I realize I’ve had a lot of caffeine. When I see the numbers showing a higher pulse rate, it reminds me to slow down on the caffeine intake. I find it comforting to see that my heart rate is not map and healthy. If you are the kind of person that likes to get to know yourself more on a “scientific” level, this is definitely great to have around.
