About the Book



This book begins with the theft of the sword of Alexander the Great from the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, Greece. The person accused of the theft is the museum's senior curator, Angus Johnson, father of Thane Johnson who is innocent. Proof of his innocence and recovery of the sword is undertaken by five clever and insightful teens: his son Thane, his daughter Alaina, his nephew Leo, and two friends of Thane, Achilles, and Thomas. Join the adventure as they solve the heist.



Book Synopsis



Thane, his friends, sister, and cousin manage to put many pieces of the museum heist of the sword of Alexander the Great together. However, Thane ends up getting kidnapped, placed on a ship with the stolen artifact and sent to Egypt, but the ship makes a stop in Chania, Greece at a naval base. Thane manages to escape the ship with the sword with the help of U.S. security personnel who discover the captain is a criminal and a kidnapper. The teens successfully overcome several malignant characters to achieve a happy outcome.



About the Author



Thomas John Papadimos is a Greek-American from Toledo, Ohio. He is a retired U.S. Navy Captain, serving over 22 years as a medical officer. He has been a Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at The Ohio State University, the University of Michigan, the University of Toledo and has been a visiting professor in the Departments of Anesthesiology at Attikon University Hospital, Athens, Greece; and Wenzhou Medical University, Wenzhou, China.

He received his B.S degree from Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio; his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio, Toledo; and his Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health. He is board certified in anesthesiology, critical care medicine, and general preventive medicine He has over 400 publications, including manuscripts, books, book chapters and scientific abstracts.

He has been named teacher of the year on three occasions and received a Fulbright Scholar Award to the National and Kapodistrian University Athens in 2021, which also awarded him an Honorary Doctorate in Medicine. He has been married for 45 years and had three children and three grandchildren.
