A little goes a long way. It spreads well and the take down should be a breeze. It should not flake and it laid my hair cuticles down easy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My sister turned me onto big poppa. Before I had to use 3 to 4 products to get my 3c/4a hair to pop. That not the case now. I find I’m using less product and only one product now and my hair last for ten days exact! I won’t buy nothing else !!!

I love this gel!! Alone it’s good but I use it with the Bonita Afro balm & it’s the best duo!! I do twist outs with them both but my wash n go’s are so bomb when I use them.

This is my first time using the gel and it feels great I can’t wait to see what it looks like in days to come. I usually wear my curls for like a week before I refresh it again.

great holding gel. I use it after defining my curls with mousse def and my style lasts 4-5 days without much frizz.

Just bought this my daughter who has not had the best experiences with gel, they often don’t hold well & leave hair feeling dry. We tried this out she immediately loved how thick it was and the definition immediately came through with only this one product. No need to pile on tons of products with this gel it smells wonderful & doesn’t feel tacky . This is going to be Our staple gel in her hair air arsenal.

Can't discribe my experience properly. It's like my hair would've absorb the product because of the leave in conditioner I used (also a Doux product). I'll try cutting/mixing it with something else.

I love this product! It really does have my curls poppin.

I tried this line after suggestion from my stylist. I give it two stars because yes, it does define the curls well and offer hold...but that's where the good ends. I used this on a wash-and-go. My hair is very thick so I have to usually have to use a lot of product, but I used this product lightly. As it dried, the curls were poppin, but when it was completely dry, it was also strangely sticky. The stickiness never went away. Then the stickiness began to turn into a residue (imagine wet flakes). Hair will look beautiful but definitely not be touchable. And the sticky residue will transfer onto pillows, car headrests, everything. If it wasn't so sticky I would love this product!

weirdly sticky with any other product or just by it’s self even when dry. no hold at all 10/10 wouldn’t recommend lol just get wetline extreme gel.

This gel does define curls and have em shining but it is a sticky mess. Def won’t be able to touch your hair without a sticky residue even after hair has dried. It reminds me of the kinky curly custard. This not a gel. It’s a sticky mess!

Very Nice product. I twisted my hair last night. 4c hair, I say the twist did not shrink if it did, maybe just a little. I took it down today and had long, super smooth, clean hydrated looking spirals. What I loved most is as the day went on, my hair fluffed just a little to being just right sitting medium stretch finger waves! wow how amazing. No frizzes. It also rained today after work (big moment of truth) my hair still held up really well like nothing happened. All I used was a small amount of leave in conditioner and this gel. You can rest assure that you only need to apply this light to medium, therefore it's worth the money. I used a teeny bit of oil for my scalp but I see this product work well by itself or with minimal secondary product. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and will be adding this to my personal and client closet. I will be looking to try the whole line from time to time.

It did absolutely nothing for definition, usually my hair doesn’t take my much for it to look good and be defined but this product failed me

I’ve been using the big poppa and I’m just loving it, if I knew my hair was like this I would’ve went natural a long time ago
