@mamamakeslearningfun USING FELT PUMPKINS: 4 WAYS🎃 . I bought these felt pumpkins two years ago at target and they’ve been a favorite of the girls during autumn. Today I wanted to share some ways you can use them for learning and play, in no particular order: 🎃Counting- We’ve counted using dice, number discs, and sandpaper numbers. Having something tactile to count always makes it more fun, especially something seasonal like pumpkins! 🎃Measuring-We have a plastic balance scale that I set out with a basket full of felt pumpkins for the girls to experiment with. We’ve also measured with them as a nonstandard unit (this book is 6 pumpkins long!). 🎃Sensory bins-I combine these pumpkins with corn kernels, pretend leaves, scoops, and containers for a simple sensory bin. 🎃Play kitchen- This is by far the favorite way to use our pumpkins, the girls love pretending with them and using them in their little kitchen to create soups and other meals. .
