Description

A Tomcat Mouse Killer Child Resistant, Disposable Station can effectively kill up to 12 mice with one bait block while providing effective station security (based on no-choice laboratory testing). Place a bait station where rodents travel, usually a 10 - 30 ft. area between their nest and food source. These stations can be used in a variety of indoor locations, including along walls, in corners, or other areas where signs of mice have been seen, by placing horizontally or vertically. The station includes a clear lid for easy bait monitoring so that you can maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for at least 15 days or until there no longer are fresh signs of house mouse activity in the infested areas. If re-infestation does occur, repeat treatment. Mice will eat a small amount of bait and leave the station. You likely will not find a dead mouse in the station. The disposable station is resistant to tampering by children but gives mice easy access to the bait.

Q: I think there are mice inside a garage wall. If I use this, will they eat this and die, leaving us with dead mice decaying inside the wall?

submitted by mrsbrewer - 6 months ago
  • A: After eating the bait from the Tomcat Mouse Killer II Disposable Station the rodent will leave the bait station, continue to wander about until such time that the bait affects him to the point that he stops moving. The rodent will die anywhere. There is nothing in the bait that will prevent the rodent from smelling while it is decomposing after it dies.

Q: What happens if a dog, cat, owl, fox, etc. ingests a mouse that's eaten the bait - won't they get sick and potentially die as well??

submitted by MarthaMcI - 1 year ago
  • A: If an animal consumes a mouse/rat that is believed to have consumed this product there is a possibility of secondary poisoning to the pet/animal although it is unlikely.

Q: Is it safe for babys? What if a mouse is in contact with bait, perhaps on their feet, fur, saliva and scurries in contact with a baby? Manufacturer---there's no information on this topic? Anyone?

submitted by ConcernBabySafety - 3 years ago
  • A: Thank you for your question regarding TomCat Mouse Killer Disposable Bait Station. The bait station contents may be harmful or fatal if swallowed or absorbed through the skin. We would be more than glad to recommend you a product that will better suit your needs. At your earliest convenience, please contact us athttp://tinyurl.com/gn22bh6.

Q: Does mice gets locked inside the bait or eats the poison and dies elsewhere?

submitted by Nay - 5 years ago
  • A: this is what their website states The rodent, seeking out food, locates the bait station, crawls inside and nibbles the bait. Then it crawls back out and likely heads to its nest to die within a day or two. All Tomcat bait stations are EPA approved for either use indoors or outdoors, and are specifically designed to prevent tampering by kids or pets from accessing the secure bait depending on the type.

Q: Does mice stays inside or just eats the poison and leave?

submitted by Nay - 5 years ago
  • A: They eat it over and over and get fat. They don't die. They only leave green droppings all over the floor. For months.

Completely useless. Mice avoided it, you have a better chance catching mice by putting peanut butter in a bucket. All of the "sponsored" reviews are just as useless as these "traps"

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Tomcat Mouse Killer and appreciate your feedback. The bait station must be placed where they see mice activity. Lack of control may be due to a new mouse in the area. If mice are getting their food from another source, they may not take the bait. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience, please reach out to us at 877-332-0755 if we can further assist.

Does it Work?

Have a question as I have had this product in my yard for almost 3 weeks. The green blocks are not declining in the window. So unsure if it is working? Don't want to disturb the box as I watched the rats sniff traps and walk away because something warned them. They have great smell detectors. I have not seen rats as I removed the bird feeders and a compost bin. These were attraction points. Neighbors have the rats in their wood pile and adjacent garage, but not seeing them in their yard as well. Can you provide guidance?

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Tomcat Rat & Mouse Killer Child & Dog Resistant, Refillable Station and appreciate your feedback. For best results, the bait station must be placed where mice activity is seen. If they are getting their food from another source, they may not take the bait or there may be a new mouse in the area that has not eaten the bait. It will take at least 2 days for the mouse to die after eating the bait. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. The mouse we were trying to catch just ate a few bites off of every bait in every trap but did not actually die. These didn't really work at all.

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Tomcat Mouse Killer Child Resistant, Disposable Station and appreciate your feedback. It will take at least, or as little as, 2 days for the mouse to die after eating the bait. They do not die instantly, nor are they trapped within the bait station. They are able to wander off and die anywhere once the bait takes effect. If mice are getting their food from another source, they may not take enough of the bait to be effective. It is possible that a lack of control may actually be a new mouse having entered the area after the original rodent wandered away. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience, please reach out to us at 877-332-0755 if we can further assist.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Always a go to brand for me. This works well and works fast. The station is set up so that kids and dogs cannot get into the poison. I haven't had any issue with the cats getting in it either. Overall a great way to get rid of mice!

Set up 8 of these in a 1500sqft house. We’re set up as directed but for a week it didn’t trap or attract anything. Waited to hear the little mouse and with two people planned to trap it instead. Trapped it ourselves in less than 2 min and instead of poisoning it set it free somewhere else :/

Please do not buy these mouse traps. When I bought it, I was in a hurry and didn't fully read that it had poison in it. I decided to try one anyway without reading up on it, and after reading about it plus my own experience with it I highly recommend you go with the classic mouse traps for several reasons. 1st is that I also put out the classic wooden mouse traps and I have caught multiple on those all while this box went ignored by the mice until I finally sealed off several entrances where they were accessing the other traps previously. 2nd reason is that when they did decide to give this box a try, one of them (which I thought was dying in the box and I left to come back when it was fully dead) actually came out of the box and left, and now it is probably going to die in my walls somewhere and stink like crazy. Then another came (could be the same mouse but I don't know) and was still eating the bait. Because it takes 1-2 days to kill them, they can easily leave and die somewhere you don't want it to. So I had to trap it in a box and wait for it to die. 3rd reason is that they're inhumane. I don't know why I didn't think more about it when I set it out but after seeing the mice die like that I realized it's completely inhumane. The wooden traps are quick and work better anyway. 4th reason is that the poison is also highly toxic to yourself, your family, pets, and tons of animals. When you throw away that poisoned mouse it will leach into the water or another animal may eat it and die. I regret buying and using these and I will never do it again.
