As with the rest of Mo Willem's endearing team of Elephant and Piggie, this book provides simple illustrations and simple words for beginner readers, yet so much personality and love that even older readers are able to appreciate it! One of the beautiful things with the books in this series is the ability to use the text and pictures to make predictions, discuss emotions, and talk about friendships. Please do not be fooled by the seemingly simplistic text and illustrations. Simply suspend reality, lose yourself in the magic of the book, and appreciate quality children's literature at its finest!

This book had great potential, considering the theme. However it's extremely boring, and agitating to read as there's only 2-4 words on each page. Ironic maybe, yes, but helping to explain to my child how to be patient with the aid of this book is entirely useless. You're better off with a different book. It isn't a fun read, either. Pictures are boring.
