These coasters are absolutely adorable. They have the cutest little shiny black or silver border and look especially cute if you put pictures in them. And they will stay looking adorable . . . as long as you don't use them. We have had these coasters for LESS THAN THREE MONTHS and they have completely fallen apart. The base is cheap and flimsy, the sparkly paper underneath the glass (the black or silver border) starts to separate and peel away as soon as it gets wet, which it will if you dare do anything as foolhardy as (gasp!) set a cool drink on top of it, the metal piece on the back gets rusty and the little "feet" on the back of the coasters that hold them up off the table (some coasters have cork backing, these have little fiberglass balls) fall off. As a display piece, these are cute. As functional coasters, they are garbage. I gave them 2 stars though, for the cute factor.

Please note these coasters are not as pictured. There are 2 black coasters and the other 2 are kind of a grayish silver color. I thought it was a mistake but then I noticed in small print it says "black and white coasters." Just be aware this is not as pictured, and I would NOT call this other color "white." However, they are very cute and I'm going to go ahead and use them and give them to my daughter as a gift. Otherwise very nice quality.
