I love these chairs I was able to get them while mark down clearance. One of my best purchases ever solid hard beautiful wood with nice cushioned seat. Would buy again!

I really loved the look of these chairs when we first got them, and the seat cushion is quite comfortable. However, within 2 months, one chair broke and within a year a second chair broke. Disappointed that we got such little life out of these chairs. They are poorly made, and I wouldn't recommend anyone spend money on them.

Wow. These chairs are really incredibly nice. Solid wood. Sturdy and well made. Take your time putting them together and you’ll be fine. I like the idea of being able to recover them if I want to at some point. It would be possible with the way they are built but it would not be super easy as there are about 8 screws on the bottom holding the seat in place. Very happy with purchase! Nice job Target!

I purchased 4 black chair and they were fine.. luv them! recently I purchased the natural wood and one of them was definitely faulty 🙁 will the 3rd time be a charm?

I bought the chair in store. I loved the chair, but one of the front legs broke after a month of use. Very disappointing. I went back to Target to buy another, and discovered the chair in store already had a large crack in the leg.

These chairs are modern and stylish while also being sturdily built. They do tend to come loose but an allen wrench helps. There are twistable knobs on the bottom of the legs to get the chairs level. This is great in our old house that isn't perfectly square. However, sometimes a knob doesn't get the chair level no matter where you put it. The chairs are nice to look at and comfortable but you might end up with one that is permanently wobbly. You also really need someone with good upper body strength to really drive the allen wrench or you'll end up with crooked wobbly chairs from assembly. My cats and my bum love them!

Affordable mid century modern style

Save yourself some stress and frustration. Measurements are not right and peices do not fit.

I did not have any problems assembling the chairs, contrary to other reviews, although it did take me longer than some (about 2 hours for 4 chairs). Make sure to line up the pieces EXACTLY as in the directions. If you swap the orientation of the leg pieces (A and B), nothing will line up properly. Even correctly oriented, it does take some jiggering to line up all 7 bolts with the threaded sockets in the chair seat, so don't tighten the bolts until you have all of them in place! Keep the bolts loose until they're all in, and then tighten them all at the same time. You can look down the bolt holes and see exactly where the threaded socket is, and then just slightly adust the position of the pieces until the bolt seats itself into the socket. You'll feel the bolt head drop down about 1/8-1/4" into the hole as soon as it finds the socket, so you'll know exactly when you've got it in the right place, then righty-tighty just a couple of turns, enough to keep it in the socket while you're jiggering with all the other bolts. The chairs feel heavier/more solid/sturdy than I was expecting, and the pieces were well packed and arrived with no damage. (Perhaps too well - I filled up a large garbage bag with just the styrofoam packing from a set of 2 chairs!) Assuming that they hold up over time, they are perfect for what I wanted. I needed to match a 40-year-old Danish-modern teak table, which is slightly lighter in color than the walnut - but close enough for the price! All in all, quite happy so far.

The other reviews here are right--these chairs are impossible to put together. The drillings in the holes on the base (seat) do not match up to the holes on the legs. In theory it should take 10 mins to put together. You put the two sets of legs together, screw in the 8 long screws that are predrilled and then screw in the back. BUT no, if you screw one screw in, it misaligns the entire thing. The best ive done is 7 of the 8 screws, but the other chairs i bought i can only get 3 or 4 in. you can see the hole and it doesnt match up. What a FAIL! ugh now i have to decide do i return these, pay someone to figure it out, or just sit on them unsecured. darnit, target!

The chairs look nice, but they are near impossible to put together. The screw holes do not align whatsoever making these incredibly frustrating to put together. I spent well over an hour putting together 1 chair that only has 7 screws. Would not recommend or purchase again. Very disappointed.

Easy to assemble and reasonably comfortable! Also- adorable!! I got the natural wood tone colored ones.

Was excited for this set at I loved the look. a dinning room set should last more than 2 years. our chairs have broke and unfortunately they can't replace or do anything to help. the table and chairs fit and looked great in our remodeled kitchen but the fact that the chairs started to get wobbly and the backs come apart is frustrating. we had a guest eating over and the chair back just completely separated.

It's a shame that the workmanship is so poor. We had to return the first set because the holes didn't align. The second set was more or less OK, hard to align the last screw on both chairs... We couldn't fit one screw on each chair, won't fit on the hole... Hard to put together. The chairs are very nice and match the table perfectly. We hope therre will be no problem in the future. Customer service is awesome, they listen and are hepful.

Wonderful solid wood chairs. Was worried as one box damaged but packaging is substantial so no damage. Took a minute to figure out best way to put together, you need the seat in place then position the legs, and don't over tighten. IKEA proficiency badge helps! Put 4 together in an hour. very solid stable chair. I got the wood seat, without the cushion so will see how they do as primary dining chair.

I found this chair on clearance and it was the best purchase. I use it for my office chair. Matches my desk perfectly

Great quality and comfortable!!

We ordered 6 chairs for our dining room table. One came broken and was replaced by Target. Since ordering two more have broken. Poor quality for the price! Really disappointed that we wasted our money.

Assembly was terrible. Had to return it the same day it was delivered. The holes are not compatible with the screws. The legs are too small for the seat. It’s a total mess. However, target customer service is the best. They were extremely helpful and gave me a refund despite not having the original package. The chairs have a nice design but quality and assembly extremely poor!!!

Didn’t like it. Cushion is too this that I can feel the screws below.
