In a world built for, by, and around neurotypical adults, people with neurodevelopmental disorders often struggle to cope. The onus is always on those on the margins to understand and fit in with a world that makes little sense to them.
The scientific and the psychiatric community do not yet understand much of the intricacies of mental health. For example, ADHD was not recognized as a mental disorder until the 1960s. Research on the disorder has come a long way, but many hurdles are yet to be crossed. It is the goal of this book to help better educate people specifically about Adult ADHD.
Ultimately, this book aims to bring help to the 4.4% of adults in the US struggling with adult ADHD.
