Heart Rate Issue

I bought the Apple Watch specifically to record my heart rate. Everytime I run my heart rate doesn't read or record for 5+ minutes. This is important to me because my heart rate can get too high really quick. My watch is still under the warranty period so I talked with Apple. They took me through many different things to try and "fix" the issue, but it never did. I sent in many charts that proved my heart rate was not working. They said it was because I was sweating that it didn't read the heart rate... because that makes sense when it read it for the last 20 min, but not the first 10. The person I talked to said it would not show up as a hardware issue so I would most likely not get a replacement and I would have to pay the fees for them to look at it if they found nothing wrong with it. She also said that she has seen a lot of the series 6 and series 7 watches showing up with heart rate issues. Shame on Apple for not caring about their people enough to provide them with a quality product OR at least to make it right. I had a regular Fitbit before and it was better than this Apple Watch. If you want something reliable and that you don't have to constantly mess with to keep it working right, skip this product. I wish I could get my money back.

The battery is always dead! Its the first thing i noticed. I had a fitbit before this that did all the same things and i wish i never got the apple watch. It charges fast but man i cant even make it through a 12 shift at the hospital and its dead. I’ve literally taken most the apps and notifications off it to preserve life. I tried talking my daughter out of getting one for this reason and she didnt listen so now we fight over outlets because its spends more time charging then being worn.

I love my Apple watch! I purchased the series 6 after my series 3 fell off my wrist in the middle of a lake. I've had it now for a while and I really like that they've added more storage so that updates can actually happen without needing to uninstall everything like I had to do with my series 3. I primarily use my watch to track my workout routines and my sleep. I like the bigger watch face but I don't really take advantage of the always on display. The battery can last me about 2 days between charges but I typically put it on the charger when I take a shower. I love how it integrates seamlessly with my iPhone.

This is my second apple watch. The first one is being used by another person in our family but this one I purchased in Nov 2020. I liked many of the apps it could run and used it for exercise, sleep monitoring, alarm clock, flash light and many other conveniences. Unfortunately it failed a few days ago only a little over a month out of warranty. It will cost almost as much to fix it as it did to buy. If one is going to purchase an Apple watch, consider using a Master Card that adds an additional year to the Apple warranty!
