Parts of the ceramic color look like they were not uniform and are a beige brown instead of grey. They are not n streaks and looks like ceramic was ably partially painted. This is the replacement lamp as the first one was completely broken when delivered

This lamp is a beautiful color and looks great in my classroom! Just be sure that if you purchase without an included bulb that you get a bulb that is relatively short (less than 5 inches from the top to the part that screws into the base) because there are bars that have to go across the top of the bulb to keep the shade in place and they are not so friendly.

Ordered two. One arrived in good repair, the others housing for the bulb (the silver part above the base of the lamp) was loose and nothing I could do could tighten it to prevent it from wiggling around. The lamp has blue/light violet undertones which did not go with my livingroom. I thought it looked kinda gaudy. Returned both for a different style lamp also from Target.
