One bottle filter can replace up to 300 standard 16.9 ounce single use plastic bottles, so you can stay hydrated and reduce plastic waste. Switching to Brita, you can save money and replace 1,800 single use plastic water bottles a year*. Brita filtering bottles are easy to clean and dishwasher safe. For best results, replace the filter every 40 gallons or about every two months. *Six Brita Standard Filters can replace up to 1,800 16.9 oz single-use water bottles.

Usage Directions: Before use, wash water bottle in top rack of dishwasher or by hand with warm soapy water. Water Bottle filters dont require soaking. Rinse filter under running water for 15 seconds. Place new filter into housing and press down firmly until filter is flush with straw. Align lid and straw in unlocked position, then rotate straw to lock. Replace water filter every 2 months or 40 gallons. When replacing the filter, look for item number 60258 35818, the black Brita Bottle Replacement Filters. Fill your bottle with tap water and enjoy. Substances reduced may not be in all users water.

I had my water bottle for over 2 years. It was great until one day the latch suddenly broke and the cap flew open. It would no longer stay closed. I was going to try and super glue the latch back on but in less than a day the interior of the mouthpiece and down into the filter completely molded. I never had mold problems before and made sure to clean it well. Like other reviews am I very upset. This was my favorite water bottle. I had it for so long because I took care of it an expected it to last. There are no replacement lids and now because of the mold I'll have to get rid of it.

I bought this bottle to reduce single use water bottles. The unfortunate thing is that the straw builds up black mold on the inside and now it is on the inner seal. I have washed it, used a straw scrubber, qtips, even vinegar and nothing is working. I feel replacement parts would be a great option if I could find any! I also dropped it a few months ago and the latch cracked off, but I can't find a lid to replace it with. I feel as though I may just have to throw it out.

Bought it because I could now drink ANY (tap) water. Reviews were overwhelmingly positive. The bottle worked great for a week or so. I was even ok with the mouth workout trying to draw up the water through the straw., thinking it was just the "cleansing" process. Then it began to taste musty. Completely cleaned it - twice. There was some improvement. Then the force needed to draw up the water increased to the point that it felt like I was trying to drink a thick milkshake through a cocktail straw. I thought it might be because I didn't use it daily, but allowed it to air dry completely between uses, so I tried to use it daily for several days. No difference. Now I just use it without the filter in the straw (using pre-filtered ) water. A VERY expensive regular water bottle. Not worth what I paid for it at all!

Bought 2. Wanted to take them on a week trip. Filled them up. Wanted a drink. And presto. You have water coming out of the tiny hole where straw is used. Wanted a drink, not a shower. Big disappointment. Really liked the old bottles better.

There is only a carbon filter with a hole through the middle for the water to pass through. Don't know how it is supposed to filter anything if water is running over it and not through it. Water tasted no different with the filter in or out of it.

I love the Brita Filtering Water Bottle. Its fairly light for what it is and it’s very durable, I believe this bottle will never break (unless you try really hard). I love that I can fill it with water anywhere and have clean, fresh tasting water.

Lids break after ~6 months of normal use

Everything about this water bottle is fine, but they're ruined by poorly designed lids which break after minimal wear, rendering the bottles useless. I've owned two of these water bottles and each broke after ~6 months of normal use. My first lid broke at the hinge and my second lid's latching mechanism cracked. Neither of these bottles were dropped or otherwise mistreated, the issue is that the plastic that these lids are made of is weak and especially thin in the latch and hinge mechanisms. Without a functional lid, neither of these bottles could be taken with me to work. Despite Brita acknowledging this design fault in the many replies they've given to reviews similar to mine, they offer no solution to this issue besides buying a whole new water bottle. They haven't changed the design and they don't sell replacement lids. I'm not paying for a third water bottle and I'm avoiding other Brita products because of this experience. There are other more reliable brands I'd rather give my money to.

Thank you for trying our Premium Filtering Water Bottle. We apologize for the difficulty you faced while drinking from it. This may be due to the silicone mouthpiece being out of place. To fix this, remove the straw and check the base of the silicone mouthpiece on the underside of the lid. Sometimes, this piece can get folded and cover the venting hole. If this is the case, gently turn the mouthpiece to align it with the groove inside the base of the lid. Ensure that the filter is flush with the top of the straw, then align the straw with the base of the lid and twist it right to lock. Please note that our bottles are designed to be held upright while drinking. Also, after refilling, it may take a few sips to pull water through the filter for the first time. I absolutely love this water bottle. I take it to the gym every day, and it's easy to carry around with me and sanitary because there is a cap over the straw. It's perfect for any type of travel so you don't have to seek out a filtered water bottle filler. Pretty easy to clean as well since all of the parts come apart!

I really wanted to love the Brita Premium Filtering Water Bottle. I love the fact that it has its own filter, but I hate that you can not properly wash the mouthpiece. Also, there is an unpleasant taste to my water EVERYTIME I use it. I bought 3 different bottles! I 10/10 do not recommend this water bottle
