C. Wirthy & Co. Blackened Hand-Seasoned Atlantic Salmon Fillets - Frozen - 10oz

I bought this as a quick dinner and it definitely ticks that box. It tastes fine but I think I can season it better. I haven’t had issues with bones and saying each filet has more than 20g is saturated fats is nuts & wrong. I likely won’t buy it again just because seasoning isn’t difficult or time consuming enough to justify the “convenience fee.”

Made us sick. It was first time we have a problem with brand. There is no doubt the salmon caused our stomach and diaherra problems. $20 literally down the toilet.

This fish is not descaled??? ????? Forgive me for my possible ignorance, but I'd assumed the point of pre-cut, pre-seasoned fish was to cut out ALL of the fishmongering work. Also, the reviews about the bones are true. I only encountered one myself, but it was the perfect length to get snagged in my esophagus & trigger an emergency. If you (somehow) can get past all of that, it really is a tasty bite, as the blackened seasoning is very well done. Aside from that, though, you could far better just buying fresh salmon & winging it.

Tastes good but SO MANY BONES

I really enjoyed this- initially... until I started finding bones. By the time I was halfway through the first piece, I had found *5* inch-long bones… And by “found”, I mean I nearly swallowed them. Had I been eating quickly, I would have likely have had to go to the ER. I understand mistakes happen- but how did this even get past quality control?? For this price, you get two individually packed filets… After the 5th sharp, thin fishbone, I threw out the second half of the filet I had cooked, and tossed the other without even trying it.

My husband liked this very much. Nice size pieces, and good quality.

It was very tasty seasoning but the portion sizes were small. I could not serve that to two people because one piece looked like a nice wide piece of filet and the other piece was super thin and long. I should have taken a picture at how ridiculously different the two pieces looked.

When I started ordering this fish from Target, the box clearly advertised that it was wild caught. Then after a few months, I noticed the flavor had changed and the "wild caught" phrase had disappeared from the front of the box. Now there is a small label on one of the end of the box that says: "farm-raised" and it is a bit more expensive. I try not to put farmed-raised fish in my body. So this quiet switch was disappointing. Also a bit deceptive as the orginal "wild caught" advertisement was written on the front and in a large font size. But the farm-raised is written on the tiniest sticker on the side of the box. Wild caught is tastier, healthier, and cheaper even. Don't think I will be buying this anymore.

Delicious! The seasoning is very tasty too. I defrosted these in warm water for about 10 minutes before putting them on the stove. I’ll definitely be buying these again!

This is one of our go to options when our weeknights are busy. My children love this salmon. The taste is great and it’s easy for me to just pop them in the oven and add some sides.

I started buying to this product 2 years ago, it has gone from being $7 after tax to $11. The fillets are also getting so small it’s laughable, I’m also beginning to suspect that this isn’t always salmon but trout instead. I will no longer be purchasing, fresh wild caught salmon is cheaper and doesn’t taste like trout.

I don't get why people review items they don't care to read about and want to purposely believe what they want to fill their bias. It ruins other people trying items because of misinformation. Another comment here stated that this had a "whopping 20g of saturated fat per fillet which leads to heart diesease" uh no. Not even for both fillets does it come close to that. Each fillet has 4 grams of SATURATED fat and 10 grams of UNsaturated fats which are healthy fats and prevent heart diesease. So you threw away this item and refused to feed it to your kids, all because you dont understand what you claim to be an expert on. Read the label on things. Make your own conclusion but not from your bias. Anyway, this tasted really good and was seasoned well! Very easy to heat in the oven while you're doing other things and had great texture. I do wish it was a bit cheaper (maybe 2 or 3 dollars less since the fillets are not that big) but besides that, very good!

I used parchment paper instead of foil, and the fish cooked perfectly. I had to let it cook an additional 5 minutes, but the salmon came out delicious.

Very DRY and small portions
