Q: I recently ordered the larger tray. Its very nice except for yellow markings that look like a "mistake". I know wood has different tones, but don't love this. Wondering if I should try and re-order?

A: Hello Julie - The yellow markings you speak of are called "Spalting" which is coloration usually present in Mango wood. A: Hi - The tray is made of natural mango wood and is resistant to water. It will likely discolor if water stands on the natural surface for a long period of time. You may consider applying a layer of wax on the surface to protect it if used in this manner. It's beautiful, enjoy! - LeAnn
