Q: Celestron Focusview 12X25 Binocular has eyecups & right one will fold down & stay while left one will not. Looks like very slight different size. Any recommended solution/fix?

Q: Will these binoculars work for people who wear glasses? And what is the greatest and shortest distance I will be able to see an object?

submitted by yorkiegirl - 4 years ago
  • A: With an eye relief of 9.1 mm, it's too short to accommodate eyeglass wearers. Near focus is 13.1 feet for up close nature viewing, and you can focus to infinity to view the moon and stars. Sincerely, Kevin

These are some of the worst binoculars I have ever used. I wanted them so I could have a spare set in the car. I know they are cheap, but I was expecting better quality than a pretend pair you would find in a child's play set. I have a set of Tascos that I got from a yard sale 10 years ago that are better.

Worse than nothing

I bought these binoculars because I left my regular binoculars at home, and thought these would be better than nothing - they weren't. They lenses were coated with grease from the center hinge that could be removed and created a fog. A complete waste of money for me.

Good For Boat Watching

These binoculars are small and lightweight. They serve the purpose for which I purchased them, to be able to watch the ships and boats g o by from my terrace. If you are looking for high powered binoculars, these are not them. However, if you just want to be able to bring some things that are not that far away closer in to view. These will do just fine.

Great little pair of binoculars. I bought them because of the balcony close to the top of my school. I live in a pretty big city so it was nice to be able to see things up close with this compact pair of binoculars. The only thing I would say about these isn’t about the product itself but the magnification. When the magnification gets higher, it is harder to hold the binoculars steady when trying to focus on small objects. All in all, I would definitely recommend these.

These Celestron FocusView 12x25 binoculars are not clear and sharp. Go for the Bushnell brand instead.

Ordered these for simple bird / nature watching during quarantine. (I wanted to see muskrats up close!) I would say I have 0 experience using binoculars to nature watch so I didn't really know what to expect or what I should have looked for. In the end I just went for the cheapest pair. Great for the price, I wanted to spend no more than $20 for a pair that would fit in my bag. The attached neck string is pretty flimsy but I might just cut it off if it starts to get in the way. It definitely gets the job done, no complaints.

Works just fine for our use. Took with us camping and to baseball games. A improvement would be to add caps for the lenses.

We bought two of these for our daughters and they have really enjoyed them. We took them camping and so far have seemed to hold up well. I liked the idea of giving them functioning "adult-like" binoculars instead of a cheap colorful kid version. The image seems good for all kinds of viewing -- bird watching, a stadium game and star gazing and at $20 seem a good deal to me. Hopeful to get several years of use out of them.
