skin irritation and dryness is more likely to occur if you use another topical acne medication at the same time. if irritation occurs, only use one topical acne medication at a time, avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use a sunscreen, avoid contact with eyes, lips, and mouth, avoid contact with hair or dyed fabrics, which may be bleached by this product, skin irritation may occur, characterized by redness, burning, itching, peeling, or possibly swelling. Irritation may be reduced by using the product less frequently or in a lower concentration.Directions
Clean the skin thoroughly before applying this product. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. If going outside, apply sunscreen after using this product. If irritation or sensitivity develops, stop use of both products and ask a doctor.Other information

A: As the person above mentioned it's to be used as a spot treatment. Now that being said it's not a moisturizer and I only apply it all over if I have a lot of breakouts all over my have but with that apply every other day, if you're going to apply all over your face. This dries out the skin so use a little at a time.

Q: I have dry skin and sometimes get these little pimples that really hurt. I know this isn't meant for dry skin, but would it be safe for me to use this just on the pimples and then moisturize after?

A: Hey Sarah! You can absolutely use this product, but we recommend reducing your application to every other day if dryness or peeling occurs. We also don't recommend using this product if you have sensitive skin. To moisturize check out our Morning Burst Hydrating Gel Moisturizer, it doesn't contain any acne fighting ingredients so it'd be perfect to use with our Persa-Gel. This worked for me in moderation. Because the dosage is 5 times the normal amount know that it can cause adverse reactions. For those who purchased this for preteens, fair & sensitive skin, or expected results after one or two applications - your expectations were illogical. Rethink the strength & who is using it then try a more conservative approach w/ 2%, every other day or every 3-4 days. Use a dot of product & gently massage in. Be gentle on skin & don’t be rough with a towel when drying after showers or face washing. I’ve used 2% for years off & on & this dosage as well. Patience is important along with gentle treatment of your complexion. Good luck!

This spot treatment is perfect for treating breakouts (QUICKLY) especially if you catch it early!! I've always bought the generic version of this product and I am thoroughly impressed by the real deal. There truly is a difference. The Persa-Gel 10 applies and absorbs easily and is very effective. The generics I've tried are difficult to apply and take forever to absorb (if it ever does). I especially love that it is fragrance free as I prefer my skincare products (especially those that aren't rinsed off immediately)to be as "clean" as possible and definitely free of fragrance. Two thumbs up!

Well, I don't know how they did it, but this acne medication didn't irritate my skin at all. And all my pimples were gone or nearly gone by the end of day one of using. I applied it in the morning after washing my face and then once again at night after washing my face. This stuff works fast! It will be a new essential in my skincare products.
