Q: Why is it for ages 3 and up if it is non-toxic? Is this safe for my 1.5 year old to use?

A:Â Thanks for your question! Many Crayola products do not state age recommendations on packaging because the age when a child is ready to begin using art products varies from child to child. Some children are ready to use art products at a very early age, while others may not show an interest until later. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a review for the washable paint colors: orange, green, and purple. All paint was fingerprint and easy to wash away from counter tops and clothing. It was used in conjunction with the Kid’s Paint Pad which had very thick pages. I liked that the paint didn’t seep through. The paper was very durable and the paint colors were nice and bright.

Oh, no! Crayola Washable Fingerpaint is formulated to wash clean from most launderable clothing and skin. Being that wasn't your experience, your disappointment is understandable. We are sorry for the frustration this caused. The good news is that we have a tip from the experts to remove those unwanted marks: Before laundering, rinse the stain from the fabric with hot water until no more color can be removed. Wash in hot water with laundry detergent for about 12 minutes (heavy soil cycle). Do not put the garment in the dryer. If the stain remains, soak the garment in a solution of Oxi Clean or Clorox 2® according to the instructions on the container for one hour. Let the garment air dry. Repeat laundering should remove any residual stains. Do not heat-dry between washings. If this doesn't do the trick our team wants to be the first to know. My preschoolers love fingerpaiting with this product! It is very children friendly and it did not require me too much work to wash off surfaces. Instead of using the suggested pairing paper product from Crayon, I provided Pacon Art Street Finger Paint Paper. Both product really compliment each other. Most importantly of all, the children enjoyed using the product to fingerpaint!

I got this for my 22 month old to do pumpkin painting and it was absolutely perfect. she had a great time and so did I! I used this to paint my whole pumpkin red to make an angry bird and it covered completely, cleaned up easily, and dried quickly. it's nice and thick, unlike some other finger paints out there. I foresee many fun paint days in our future. highly recommend.

The paints work well but they smell strongly of burnt rubber. I have another set from a few years ago that smell like paint...these are awful. Will be returning and not buying Crayola paints again.

This is my toddler’s favorite activity! The colors are extremely washable and easy to clean up, washing off hands, hair, table, etc. completely. Also, the paints will mix but are not so blendable that the colors are lost right away (becoming a huge muddy-looking mess on the paper), which is a bonus for a toddler who just likes to mix them all together to make a rainbow. Will buy again!

I bought this for my 1 year daughter after reading all the amazing reviews for it. They all said it washed off extremely easy and I gotta say it's incredible. No soap just water and it came off clean. It's perfect for painting and shower time, would definitely recommend and will definitely be buying more.

Great texture and so much fun! We have done hand/foot prints and finger paining with my 7 month old, he absolutely loved it! The paints were bright, work great to mix for any color you want, and clean off really well! Washes off of skin super easy although it did leave a little stain on the wash cloth I used (could be I didn’t wash it quick enough). Great product and I will buy again!
