1962 was a big year. Modernist design hit its peak and moved into homes across the country. And in Minnesota, Target was born — with the revolutionary idea to celebrate design for all. Project 62 embodies this legacy with a collection of modern pieces made for everyday living.
Nice design, but a waste of money. As others stated, the bulb burned out after six months and there's no way to crack it open to replace it. Even though I got it on sale, not worth it - probably cost me $1 per use for a very short amount of time.
Stopped working after 8 months. Can't replace bulb. It can't be fixed. Its going to end up in landfills all across North America. I hate that. Everyone who purchased this should get their money back and someone at target corporate should find a clever way to collect and repurpose this junk. I would give 0 stars if i could.
It was the perfect desk lamp for me until it started becoming faulty. The touch sensor that turned the light on/off worked very nicely at first.
But after a few months, when turning it on, the bulb comes on but incredibly dim. To the point where it is useless. After reading all of the other reviews, it's obvious that others have had a lot of issues with this lamp. Do not buy! It will break after a few months and you'll be in need of a lamp again.
This lamp worked great... for the first year. Literally 4 days after the RedCard return window expired (1 year + 30 days), the bulb went so dim that it's not even illuminating the pages of the book right in front of it. This lamp has a great aesthetic, but the actual design is awful because you can't change the LED bulb AND it burns out much more quickly than it should. In the question section, Shelly (a Target rep) said that the bulb should last 30,000 hours. Even if I kept my lamp on the entire time I've owned it (which I definitely have not), I should still have over 20,000 hours of life left on it. But no. Instead, apparently the only option is to trash the lamp and buy a new one. I would not recommend buying this lamp if you don't want to be hunting for another replacement in a year's time.
DO NOT BUY THIS LAMP. I bought two of these for my bedside tables in March and the bulb in one has already burnt out. I went to try and change it, and sure enough you can't change it. So it just ends up in a landfill whether the bulbs last as long as they claim (they don't) or not.
Light cant be changed so once it goes out the lamp is worthless if it was a 10.00 lamp then maybe i wouldnt mind but to pay 30.00 for a lamp with an expiration date no thank you will be returning pronto!
