My kiddo wanted to buy a laying down Pluto at Disneyland in September 2022 but they had none at either Disneyland or California Adventure (even though we had seen him there before a few months earlier). It was weird. We went back this past weekend (January 2023) and they had Pluto sitting up at both parks. We had seen laying down Pluto at a Target store (the ones that have the Disney clothes/toy section) so I said I’d order one for drive up. We picked him up today and he was sitting up too, which I expected. I parked the car and went in to see if they had any laying down ones left, and luckily they did so we exchanged him (even though the bar code is the same, the teenager processed it anyway). On the shelf there were about 10 Plutos and 8 of them were sitting, 2 were laying. If you are wanting a laying one, it looks like they are being discontinued for sitting up ones. Get one quick, in-store, or call ahead first!

The "sitting down" picture is deceiving. The plush is fixed on a laying position. There is no way to force it to sit down. I wish Target updated the picture. Besides that, this plush is soft and really cute. I noticed some of them have a floppy head and others have a more structured head. If you can see these in-person, I would recommend it. I love the detail on the collar badge. Really cute! I still recommend it.

For $23 I expect better quality from Disney. It seems Pluto is missing stuffing. His neck just flops over, can’t even hold his head up. And his back legs look like a frog.
