Book Synopsis
The extent and depth of evil confronting us on a daily basis can be overwhelming, so overwhelming we can be tempted to look away from it. After all, with evil lurking around every corner, what difference can a single person make? In fighting the evil of child sex trafficking in Cambodia, and focusing on one life at a time, God has taken Don and Bridget Brewster's seemingly insignificant and unqualified efforts to transform a community known for trafficking all its girls, to one that loves and protects all children. As the Brewsters took the lonely first steps of faith, God brought along others to serve with them. Through the telling of their story, the hope is that you will be challenged and inspired not to look away, but to say yes to fighting evils that surround us. In addition, you will find principles from their successes and warnings from their failures that can be used to fight evil anywhere.Review Quotes
"This is a powerful story of faith in a God who can move the highest mountains, a story of hope for those in the darkest of despair, and a story of life-altering love. What can happen when we declare and demonstrate the gospel? Lives can be changed. Nations can be changed. That is the story you will discover in these pages. It is a book that could change your life and the lives of nations. Don't look away. Read this book."
--Eddie Byun, Associate Professor of Christian ministry, Talbot School of Theology, Biola University
"Don't Look Away opens our eyes to the needs of 'the least of these.' Don Brewster both inspires and challenges us. He tells the story of obedience, sacrifice, compassion, and action. We are overwhelmed at the depth of need and yet also at the immensity of God's love. This book demonstrates love in action--how being God's hands and feet leads to lives touched, hearts changed, and communities transformed."
--Becca C. Johnson, Licensed Psychologist
